Well situated site 15 mins on the bus from the city, easy bus service just up the road from the site. Facilities ok, staff ok. Very noisy site (not from the people but from the birds and the bats!) It was like staying in the jungle - a nice noise. Had a bush tailed possum rush up the tree on our "patio". Great stuff. Would definitely recommend this site for a first night after a long flight, and a sightsee of the city next day, city hopper and citycat good boats to use on the river, good walks along the south bank and a lovely rainforest walk too.

We stayed here for 4 days as part of the family roadtrip. Park was convenient to facilities and transport. The staff were friendly and kept us up to date with events in and around town. We were so grateful for the free WiFi after being charged everywhere else during the trip. Facilities were clean - staff were helpful - we would stay there again

We stayed here for 2 nights before moving on from brisbane.
Amenities are basic, clean but shower cubicles over run with ants. You have to get permission to fill water tanks, taps are so low to ground it's hard to fill a kettle.
Lady owner on the front desk appears very abrupt with not much patience for dealing with customers.
Free wifi, we use the term lightly, as you are given 24hours free from check in or so many megabytes.
Stay here if you are looking for a quiet campsite only 1 bus from city centre. Not suitable for families with children.

We've just had 3 days here with our caravan. The amenities are basic and not the cleanest.
There's NO pool or kids play ground. The lady at the front desk politely told us that our (3, 6 & 15) year old children and our selves would be better ridding there bikes out of the park (do to insurance reasons?) and any ball games must be taken to a near by field. Very odd at the least !
Think we'll be sticking to the Big 4 type parks where they welcome families.
Value for money, I'd spend the extra $20 next time and stay elsewhere.

We stayed here for a weekend when we rented a camper van. Classic old school style caravan park. Amenities were nice and clean and the staff were nice and helpful. Shops are close by. And it's easy to get transport into the city. I'd stay here again.

We stayed for 2 nights in Newmarket based on "Lonely Planet" recommendation. Indeed the parks' location is great - across a busy shopping center with "Coles" and nice places to eat and drink. Getting to Brisbane is easy from the park as well - by bus or by car. Here the good things ends.
We were traveling with our 2 y/o twins - and were stunned to discover that we need to pay for them - on a powered site! No playground, no baby bathroom, not even a swing!! This was the most expensive powered site in Australia - 55 AUD per night!
Beside that the amenities are not very clean - unless you like ants as your shower partners.
Bottom line - not suitable for families, maybe for low budget backpackers.
