My mum is a chef and she and I are both big fans of Luke Nguyen and shared all our dishes. Beautiful setting in the old Treasury building and our server was friendly and lovely too. My mum is temporarily needing to use a wheelie walker frame but we had no trouble being shown to a table where she could park it out of the way next to where we were seated.
The silken tofu was lovely but a little too salty for our taste. The prawn dumplings were delicious as was another main prawn dish who's name escapes me... We shared a delicious chocolate dessert that was like a perfect traditional French style gateaux.
Will Definately be going back when I visit Brisbane.
A large family group of about 12 with 4 noisy kids turned up and were quite demanding and rude to the staff. One man even went straight upto the staff area where the staff prepare the guests tea and just started washing out a baby bottle and using their boiling water tap water! I could see the staff were a bit shocked but dealt with him very politely and organised the baby bottle for him straight away.
My uncle had visited the restaurant the week before and said their entire meal was fantastic off the price and was thrilled when Luke himself came out to say hi as well.
