We actually couldn't get in anywhere else we wanted to. That was a bit of good luck on our part. The restaurant was busy but service was fast and knowledgeable. A very nice smoky smell filled the restaurant. We ordered a few starters - the olives were good.

For main course, we ordered from the grill. Lamb rump with eggplant puree was good as well as the "campoven"style lamb shoulder we had. Sides had to be purchased depending on what you wanted. We only had a few beers with dinner, but I would like to have a closer look at wine last, so can't comment too much on that aspect.

Overall, a great dining experience in Brisbane.

Ate here on business. Couldn't fault the pleasant service.

Food was delivered in good time, tasted great (had the steak) and there were plenty of options on the menu. Adding a few sauces and sides did make for a fairly expensive meal.

Wine list was comprehensive but fairly expensive.

Two of us ate a main meal, one side and a medium priced bottle of wine for $175 (so, not cheap).

We were a group of six who dined on a chilly Friday night for Brisbane. When we made our booking we asked to be seated overlooking the kitchen and we were given the best seats in the house - this was a fantastic thing to do and even as a group of six it was great. The kitchen worked like a well oiled machine and it was fantastic to watch from our seats as we chatted and drank a fabulous bottle of Shiraz from the Adelaide Hills.

What I was most impressed about was the price of the meals. The entree's are SO affordable and delicious. The mains were equally good and as everyone had different dishes there were too many meals to make comment but they were all of a very good size and excellent quality.

As we had consumed entree' and mains we could not eat a desert despite our (French) waitress mentioning that they are prepared by a French chef and they are wonderful. Maybe next time.

We had the most enjoyable evening - great food, fantastic service and a great view overlooking the dynamic kitchen.... the only negative was that our table was directly in front of the door which needs to be kept closed in the winter due to cold and chilly wind that flowed all over us as we dined... but ... Thanks to everyone at Pony for a fantastic night last Friday!

We went to Pony for my husband's birthday and loved it. We didn't have a booking but were welcomed and sat and enjoyed the theatre of the open kitchen. The food was lovely and a nix mix of meat and vegetarian options. The service we received was excellent. There was such a great atmosphere in here. All the staff were committed to their jobs especially the young guy behind the bar mixing cocktails. Will definitely come back on our next trip to Brisbane.
