“unexpected find”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

I went to this restaurant with some work people, and we just happened to stumble across it on a Saturday night with a free table for 6 of us.
We felt welcomed, the screens were pulled down to limit the cool evening breeze which worked really well. We were served politely, efficiently and you knew they knew what they were doing which is great.
We ordere quite a few entrees and tried all of them, all were really good quality and very tasty, and included a good variety of fish, meat and veg.
everyone enjoyed their mains from fish dishes, to pasta to steak, and the wine was good too.
it wasn't amazing but it was fairly priced and better than expected and we would definitely go back and take friends too.
The atmosphere was nice, we were outside undercover and with the wind screens and heaters there was a nice cosy feel which was great. Oh and it overlooked the river and the river walk so it's a great place for watching the world go by.

“Works Night Out”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

10 people well accommodated with great services good food and wine. We enjoyed the tasting plates as starters with lots of different flavours, followed by a very good steak. The Rioja was excellent and the staff were attentive to our needs all night. Go and enjoy the great atmosphere of a restaurant that has that buzz when you walk in and is still there when you leave.

“Dinner guests”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Part of a large dinner party. Arrived early to meet at the bar.Bar is crowded and nowhere to sit. Drinks are expensive (Pinot noir + Peroni = $21). Eventually asked to move from bar because of crowding. Go to seating - long tables with long bench seats - bench seats have to be skooshed out to sit other guests.

Food is incredibly good. Wine is incredibly good. Service is incredibly good. Noise is loud and conversation is difficult.

Other seats away from noise appear calm and conversational. Staff are wonderfully attentive.Maybe a window seat is good, but our fun was with hosts and other guests, even though we had to shout through ambient noise.

Wouldn't go back on night out, unless night was for loud fun with many people... but maybe lunchtime is easy on ears and eyes ... with river views.

“Lovely views”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Dined here with my husband, it was lovely, setting, views and service. There's an open kitchen and great exhaust range-hood, did not come out smelling of cooking or food! Tasty meal and good selection of wines. The steaks were tender and juicy.
