“Friendly cafe restaurant in the suburbs”
Reviewed May 23, 2014

A suburban café restaurant with an inner city feel. Saturday morning brunch. The place was busy without being hectic. Plenty of staff to cater to their hungry patrons, and all of them very friendly and helpful. Great coffee, not an excessive menu but plenty of variety to choose from at typical prices. A mix of couples and families were present, and serving times were quicker than one would normally expect. Parking out the back if you need it.

First time visitor and will be returning.

“Ave Cucina”
Reviewed April 12, 2014

We came over from London UK to visit our son Daniel and daughter-in-law Hannah in March and stumbled across the best local community cafe/restaurant ever. Welcomed by Shadi's happy smile, we just had to have breakfast as well as a skinny cap. And the fruit Bruschetta was relish. As was the wet muesli. As was the beautiful hot tomato dish I can't remember the name of. Its a real neighbourhood place, right next to the natural childbirth centre so guaranteed to be full of local mums and babes catching up on their news. Didn't even realise that Shadi and Veronica had won MKR, but just had to watch it when we got home. Great atmosphere, great coffee, great food - what more can you want in the daytime?

“Girls Lunch”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

Menu selection on the smallish side but still found something for all to eat. One of the ladies has a lot of foods she can't eat but waitress able to confirm what each dish had in it. Food was beautifully presented, tasted great and plenty for a lunch.
BYO wine had a $7 charge but that seemed on par with most places these days.
Coffee was great and so quick.
We sat inside as very humid on the day we went. Air conditioning was very welcome thug it was struggling towards end of lunch as more people arrived.
