“Kookaburras and scenery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2013

Took the road from Brisbane through the national park. Plenty of places to stop with lookouts. Scenery spectacular - could see the coast and the Glass Mountains. Picnicked at Bellbird Grove (side road 2 KM) As I visited mid week had the place to myself, Although did have my sandwich taken out of my hand by a kookaburra. Stopper to do one of the well signed walks. Continued through the reserve and took the long loop back to Brisbane via Mount Glorious Village, Wivenhoe Lake, Ipswich and then motorway. (NB This involves a toll on part of the motorway) A great day out away from city life.

Peace, wildlife, bush, amenities and less than an hour from town, take a less-well traveled road and head north west as well as towars the Coasts when you visit SE Qld.

“Get your boots on”

This national park has not only an easy driving road through it but a number of good lookouts, rest areas and walks if you want to try something a little more challenging. Stop by the park station on the way in an pick up the latest news on walks and activities.

Love any of the trails in D'Aguilar - have done quite a few now and never tire of the gorgeous scenery and am always impressed at how well maintained the trails are. Well done Qld Parks!!!
