Hi all if you are looking for a nice clean accommodation close to CBD in Brisbane this is the place!
I stayed there with my buddy and to save money we share a double.
The place was very clean and includes continental breakfast.
The owner are from UK and very attentive and you can tell they really about you and they want to do they best to make you feel welcome and happy.
I'll be back.

We stayed at Annie's Shandon Inn for two nights. The owners are really nice and you can literally feel how long the family has run this b&b. The price is also fair for central Brisbane. Everything is in walking distance basically, but there is one big BUT. You need to ask for a room on the backside. We had a room directly to the roadside and since the building is quite old, it feels as if the cars and buses are driving directly through your room.

Room Tip: You have to ask for a backside room!

We stayed there for one night the room is really small and old and the the bathroom/toilet is shared so more like a backpacker than b&b the breakfast is toast and tea/coffee. I found a but expensive for what you get. Good thing isThe location clise to everything of brisbane hás to offer

My wife and son stayed here in 2010 and could not fault it, so the three of us stayed here the other week for two nights. It's a very friendly B&B within easy walking distance of the CBD ... and a good feed at the Down Under Bar and Grill (308 Edward St). The hosts were friendly and obliging. The room was clean, the shower great. The only noise was a garbage truck in the rear alley at 4am one morning, but otherwise no noise at all. TV rooms, tea and coffee facilities, continental breakfast, free parking at rear (organise this first). We would have no hesitation staying here again when next in Brisbane.

Room Tip: If you have a car, or a lot of luggage, ask for a lower-floor room. The stairs from the ground floor...

I did a one night stay here during my transit through Brisbane as the airport lounge did not accommodate overnight passengers (unlike Singapore/Malaysia and other Asian airports). So had to look for a budget accommodation for a night and found this place through a convenient guide provided at the airport. Also I could call in from there and book. Took a Conxion shuttle from airport. Place is conveniently located from the Central Train station as well as the Queen street. Small but neat rooms, shared bathrooms but manageable. Continental breakfast is included in the price. A couple of other similar joints are nearby. I think they have around 15 rooms in all on two levels. If you are getting back after 8 pm, open the main door yourself. But for anyone looking at a decent budget hotel just for one or two nights, it is a good place to go....

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the street as these are noisier.

This is a small house with a dozen of room near the center of town.
Room are very very small, we had trouble putting our two suitecase.
There one shared bathroom men and one women at level 2 and I think one at level 1.
When you'll comme back from a day walk, you'll have to aim well to get the bathroon.
Breakfast is correct but not what you can expect from an Autralian hotel.

Well, all this points are relatively minor if the price was not so high.
... And you'll have to pay $5 more if you want Wifi !

Annies is only a short walk uphill from central railway station and about 10 mins walk from Queen Street shopping area. there is a free bus that takes you down to town if you cannot manage walk but as it is a circular route take much longer to get to centre than the walk.
the hotel itself is a very old type guest house with shared bathrooms upstairs in hotel and ensuite in basement rooms. breakfast was poor with basic cornflakes and weetabix with tea or coffee and toast.
all in all rooms were very old fashioned with no views and windows difficult to open. very basic for what you pay for. would I stay again. no.
would rather pay a few dollars more for better quality accomodation even if further out of centre.
staff however a so helpful they will try to help with anything you require. they really are lovely.

Room Tip: try to get ensuite rooms as shared bathrooms can be a pain if hotel full.
