“Watch out for the lizards!”
Reviewed May 8, 2014

There is some climbing involved in exploring this attractive part of the city. Keep an eye out for the lizards that enjoy the gardens too. The water wall is impressive.

“Loved these parklands just outside of CBC”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

What a little oasis in the middle of city. The parking was good, although only 4 hours week days (7 on weekends) but that is usually enough. I went twice, once with kids on the weekend and we enjoyed a train ride (gold coin donation) and found the playground and had a wonderful walk though the fern gully.

The next time I went my friend and I sat on the grass by the waterfall area and then walked around and found some nicely secluded spots. We also had lunch at the Cafe in the grounds.

“A quiet oasis in the middle of the city”
Reviewed May 3, 2014

I love these gardens, just strolling through the gardens where volunteers work on the beds, is a relaxing time for me. Take the children, take a picnic and make a day of it....or there is a rather lovely restaurant to linger over a coffee.

“Lovely mid-city Oasis”
Reviewed April 30, 2014

Had an hour or two to kill waiting for my train at Roma Street and found this beautiful spot that I didn't know existed despite many years of travelling to Brisbane. Beautifully landscaped, lovely open spaces and speciality garden areas, great for prams, wheelchairs or totting a trolley suitcase! Lovely family place just wonderful for a leisurely Sunday stroll.

“Magnificent Garden Oasis in the heart of Brisbane.”
Reviewed April 25, 2014 via mobile

If you find yourself with a few hours in the city, particularly if you arrive by train at Roma Street, don't miss this wonderful spot. The lawns and gardens are immaculately maintained, attracting birds and reptiles aplenty, barbecue spots for picnics, a very nice large cafe and cleverly designed walkways amidst waterfalls and fountains. Don't miss it.
