“Pizza perfect...”
Reviewed March 25, 2014

Located in Southbank and has lovely outdoor dining. Pizza was really good and the service was good. A great option if you have kids......I saw on the way in that on specified days kids eat free. Serve yourself some water and ice at the water station. Really relaxed dining and busy enough to see that it is ok.

“Average food indifferent service”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

My friends and I decided to try out Amicis for a Saturday lunch after looking around the markets.
The menu is has variety of standard meals, and good value, casual outdoors seating. but staff took a long time (at least 15 minutes) to come and take our order and weren't interested in finding out about gluten free options when asked. The atmosphere is very noisy, and service is very hit n miss. We had to ask 2 of the wait staff to order our drinks. No one asked if we needed anything, and Staff looked casual and unprofessional. We were disgusted that dirty dishes were left on empty tables for the Ibis birds to pick over !!! which was very off-putting.
My foccacia bread with chicken and avocado was nicely cooked. My friends both had pizza.
While the food was good value, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as the service was indifferent and unprofessional.

“ACCEPTABLE PASTA IN A RELAXED VENUE”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Amici's has been a fixture at Southbank for quite a while. Located conveniently in the heart of the parklands, it's quite casual and has a large dining area, so although popular you can generally manage a table. Quite acceptable pasta etc. without being spectacular.
