Had Saturday Lunch with a good friend here recently; the gyoza was hand-made on the premises; tasty! :). The Tonkitsu Ramen was simply sublime; so many wonderful flavours and just the thing for a Saturday Lunch... The 2-day cooked pork is divine! My dining friend is Japanese and he gave the food a very big thumbs up!! The atmosphere is, well, a bunch of tables outside on a coolish day; so not the greatest, however, the food was supreme and I'd do it again! 5 stars...

This is a great ramen cafe with lots of attention to detail in the cooking. The pork stock is cooked for 18 hours apparantly and it shows in the depth of flavour. We like the red tonkotsu ramen (chilli spicy variety) best and usually get an extra serving of the pork and imported nori seaweed sheets to dunk in it. Superb!
The cafe is a bit spartan but outside the under-cover tables catch the breezes which can be a good antidote for any chilli-induced sweat.
A Japanese beer is good to accompany it and Yebisu fills the bill. Come to think of it, I haven't had a bad Japanese beer yet!
It is a little bit of a walk from the central CBD but definitely worth it.

Hand made noodles, excellent stock. This is one of our regular ramen places and is a good rival for Hakataya Ramen in Sunnybank, though much closer if you live near the city. The ramen stock here is stronger in flavour than Hakataya's and comes with half a tasty seasoned egg, but you don't get free noodle refills. The price here is a little more expensive, and overall the price is higher than I would like for a rating of excellent, especially the beer. For a drink, ramen and a side (eg. gyoza) expect to pay around $30.

They also sell other Japanese dishes apart from ramen, such as shabu shabu with their Bangalow pork, which we haven't tried yet

The atmosphere is okay, with limited seating inside on a small bench. Outside seating is undercover. It would be nice if it looked a little more like a traditional ramen place, but it's not too bad.

Note that it used to be closed on Sundays, but according to their website they are open 7 days a week excluding public holidays
