The Sebel is an apartment hotel with a mix of studio, one and two bedroom apartments. It is located only a block away from Queen St Mall, and the rooms have sweeping views of Brisbane. We booked a studio apartment, which was small but more than adequate for an overnight stay. The rooms are clean, modern, and well furnished - even in the studio apartment there were two armchairs (not as common as you might think). Beds were OK, and the limited interaction we had with the staff was pleasant. It is normally quite expensive, but good deals can be found for non-peak times. The breakfast in the ground floor restaurant was expensive and somewhat limited in range, however, there are plenty of cafes in the immediate vicinity where you can get a good breakfast and coffee at a more reasonable cost.

Dear anw190,

Many thanks for your detailed and balanced review. We appreciate this feedback and it's good to hear that you enjoyed your visit. We accept that there are some cheaply-priced cafe options in the vicinity and feel that this only adds to meal choices for our guests, augmenting our restaurant and room service facilities. We hope to see you again on a future visit.

Kind regards

Basic hotel apartment, not much in food choices, limited breakfast buffet spread. Service was not that good, we had to ask repeatedly to get the attention of the waiting staff.

Good location in Brisbane CBD. Expensive....... as is everything in Australia.

Dear Siddiki89

Thanks for your review. Please accept our apologies if some aspects of your stay were less satisfactory. Though most commentary we have received recently regarding food and beverage service and selection has been very positive, we acknowledge that you did not agree on this occasion. We will certainly pass on your comments to improve the restaurant experience in future.

Kind regards

When I booed accommodation in Brisbane, I look mainly at 3 criteria- location, cost and breakfast included. If the three things align, then I book the accommodation. In this case, all 3 aligned perfectly, and I was thrown to find that my accommodation in fact was an apartment- even though that is the name of the accommodation. The apartment is spacious with a lounge, balcony, kitchen, laundry/bathroom, and bedroom. It looks a bit outdated, but or my needs, it was very good! Pity about the tv Chanel availability- not much to choose from.
