Now being part of the Accor band, I decided to give Sebel Suites a try. Checkin was zippy and service manner curteous - and to my pleasant surprise my Le Club Platinum status was recognised despite stating otherwise on the Accor site! Great start.

The Premium one-bedroom apartment is overall of a very good standard. It isn't new by any stretch but still quite modern. It is tastefully furnished unlike some other newly built serviced apartments, which are modern and functional, but also stale. The bedroom is a good size. The bed itself is comfortable; many pillows.

The kitchen is slightly small but very good. No qualms here. Ditto with the bathroom.

A premium apartment includes breakfast at the resturant downstairs. You have one choice off the ala carte menu, a coffee, as well as the buffet offering. I was really pleased here - excellent!

Where this hotel falls down is the inexcusable lack of wireless internet. Well, they do offer wired - the problem is the ethernet cable is about 10cm long! No wonder they offer complimentary internet in a premium room as management knows nobody can actually use it!

This is verging on criminal service in my opinion, and I've deducted a star because of it.

It's a shame because otherwise it's a really good hotel and excellent value especially for those with status.

Dear Clifford712,

Many thanks for your detailed and balanced feedback. It's great to see that our valued Le Club Accorhotels members are discovering the newer hotels in our portfolio and we are pleased to hear that your accommodation and restaurant experiences met with overall expectations.

We also appreciate your comments regarding WiFi availability. As part of the integration process with a number of our new hotels, including The Sebel Suites Brisbane, we are addressing the provision of this facility as it is so important - especially to our business customers. This has been prioritised and we are confident of having an excellent WiFi service available to our guests very soon.

Thank you once again for your valuable comments.

Kind regards

Great place to stay for a city break. Good location, one block from the Meyer Mall and transport.
We got the train from the airport to Central Station, and it then took 10 minutes to walk to the hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff at reception, always keen to help.
room was spacious, We got upgraded to a 1 bedroom unit with small kitchenette, which was a bonus.
Pool deck and gym, however the pool water was really cold on the day we went to go for a swim, so didn't get in.
All amenities were there, small balcony, but not outdoor furniture to sit on.
We will stay again. good value for money.

Stayed in a one bed room and it was good sized. The hotel's in a city location but it's relatively quiet at night. I also had room service which was quite appetising and tasty. I did had breakfast in the morning too, but it was just average and I had a mild stomach ache afterwards.

There's another Sebel hotel in Brisbane CBD so make sure your taxi driver completely understand which one he's taking you to.

Dear dragondrop,

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that your visit was largely enjoyable, though I would be more than happy to look into your comments about breakfast if you could kindly contact me directly at the email address below.

The other Sebel property in Brisbane rebranded to Pullman & Mercure Brisbane King George Square last year, so any confusion amongst taxi drivers should hopefully be short-lived. Thank you once again for taking the time to provide feedback about your stay.

The staff are friendly, housekeeping do a great job. Would be nice to have a small table and a couple of chairs on the balcony tho. Breakfast was a joke..........You need to label your yoghurt as the one i chose wasnt very nice. Also i ordered an ommlette and i was lucky to eat 2 mouthfuls, it was very greasy and oily. Also didnt have any flavour. This is the first time i have walked out from a buffett breakfast hungry. Also some soap in the bathroom to wash your hands would be good.

The kitchenette floor was dirty and sticky. I cleaned the floor as clean as good as I could get it clean. We had dinner in the Palettes restraurant where we waited for over an hour for our dinner. After we placed our order we were told that the wait would be 20 minutes. But instead we waited for over an hour for our main meal. If we knew that we had to wait that long we would have gone somewhere for dinner there are enough places in the area where you can have a meal. We also noticed that some people walked out because of the delay ( we also thought about walking out, but that would not be nice for the Chef) When we did receive our meal our hunger was over.

Room Tip: Next time if we stay at Sebel Suites Brisbane, we would like to stay on the higher floors with A/C a...
