“Small but well-designed & great location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2011

Studio room was very small but efficiently designed to save space. Windows opened even on the 14th floor, though just a crack, and the decor was modern and attractive. Great location close to everything in the CBD.

In centre of Brisbane - good base. Not the biggest rooms, but got a good deal. Everything the Sebel name has to offer - so you know what you're getting. Will stay again when in Brisbane for business.

My husband and I stayed overnight at this hotel in a 1 bedroom apartment, it was clean and comfortable. My biggest issue was with the front office staff member who checked us in. We were given our keycard and went to the room. After a few minutes the front door swung open by another staff member saying "I have your baggage", but it wasn't out baggage, she did call us by our surname though. This was a surprise. I then realised that we were in a 2 bed apartment and perhaps there was a mistake. Luckily our luggage was still in our car in the car park, and we hadn't unpacked, so I rang down to reception and ask about what had happened. I was told "sorry that is not your room, could you come back to reception", which we did. Here is where I got a little annoyed. The male staff member was dismissive of the incident, and said he didn't think there would be two people with our surname and he didn't check the spelling or my first name. That was his first mistake............... we were allocated another room, and as I left I did say to him, what would you do if you had 3 guests arrive with the name "Smith".....he dispassionately said, "I guess check the first names"! A messy start to our visit, that should not have happened. Breakfast was a let down also, as my poached eggs were hard and resembled boiled eggs and both our meals were luke warm, a pity as presentation and wait service was good. Location good, parking on site a bonus. Unfortunately I found attention to detail sadly lacking in this hotel.

The best part of this hotel chain is they are different. Class apart. The locations of the hotels are the best. So damn good connectivity, good views. The rooms are very spacious, and feels good to be in. I felt very cosy. The room lighting, and natural lights make you feel so good. You can stay for long periods. The hotel service is also very good. The smile in the hotel staff is so warm. I felt at home.

We have stayed on a few occassions, location is great for shopping, dining, river cruises walking distance to just about anywhere in the city centre and only 20 mins in the airtrain from the airport.
The rooms are a little small and dated, but the staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all a good stay.

This is an OK hotel - very mass touristy, though. Centrally located, close to shopping and recreation. The rooms are OK sized, but a bit dated. Internal noise cancellation is virtually non-existent. You can hear other guests going back to their rooms at night, or using the bathroom.
Dinner at the hotel's restaurant was the most bland I had in a long while. You could watch staff pouring fries and vegetables straight out of the bag into the deep fryer, and from there transfer directly onto the hot plates of their buffet cabinet. This isn't cooking - that's warming.
