The rooms are beautiful. Our deluxe room is really a one room flat. Extremely spacious.
The room has a queen bed, a fold-out couch, washer and dryer, kitchenette, dining table, desk, and spacious bathroom. It's a wonderful place to stay. Wi-Fi is available, for a fee. The room rates are extremely reasonable and the location is the best. Just one block from Queen Street Mall and Myer Center is just across the street.

My wife and I stayed at the Royal Albert for 4 nights during May. For the price, the Albert is not bad, especially considering the great location. Located right in the heart of the CBD, there are tons of restaurants, bars and stores a short walk away. Hit Ashala which is just south on Albert Street. While the room was reasonable clean and not a bad size, the service at the Albert did leave a bit to be desired. The front desk was not always the most helpful (except for Jess, who was great). Our shower didn't drain properly and it them several days to get to it (and it still wasn't fixed) and the cleaning folks don't clean after 12. I'd recommend the Albert to anyone concerned with having a great spot in the center of town.

Right in the middle of the city across from the Myer Centre, you could not ask for a better location!
The staff were friendly, the room was nice - nothing fancy, but you only sleep in it :)
And being so close to the CBD we thought it might be noisy but we had a sound nights sleep every night.
The best part was the lovely Cafe Mondial outside. Great food, delicious breakfast and cute waiters that were really friendly!

My wife and I have stayed at the "Bertie" on several occasions now and have not been disappointed; it's a great base for a stay in Brisbane, especially if without one's own transport and wanting a spot right in the city.
One downside - if you could call it that - is the construction work going on both on the Elizabeth and Charlotte Street sides of the property. But, hey, you get a chance to watch rather large cranes at work and work underway on new buildings. The noise intrudes little.
The Royal Albert has been refurbished and the ambience is good. All the units we've used have had full kitchens and were clean and tidy, with furniture in very good repair.

The property is right across the street from the Myer centre, with its choice of department stores, not to mention all those outlets that make up a large shopping centre; the food courts are quite good, too.
There's been only one lapse in customer service during our multiple stays: a front-desk clerk booked our transfer to the airport which, had we not picked up on it, would have seen us miss our flight. Otherwise, front-desk people have been great!
A good place to stay!

Old building, nicely and tastefully renovated. Not a great outlook, but if you are just there to sleep its not a problem. Great amenities in the room, including a washer and dryer. No restaurant on site, but there is one at the entrance and we were not pleased with our meals. However, there are many alternatives within a short distance.

This hotel could be easily missed (in fact a leading local tour operator didnt even know where it was!), as it's actually an apartment block situated above a restaurant. We chose this hotel purely for its central location and it did not disappoint. We weren't expecting anything luxurious but this place has everything you could need for a few days in Brisbane. It has secure parking for one and a restaurant right outside the door. We were really surprised by the size of the rooms. We had booked a one bedroom apartment which came complete with all the amenities of a self catering apartment. The room was HUGE compared to some of the more expensive hotels we have ever stayed in! The building and rooms are slightly old fashioned in decor but I think this added to the charm. The best thing by far about this hotel is its location - slap bang in the middle of as many restaurants, nightlife and bars as you can manage! Altogether good value for money.

Found staff very friendly and helpful.
Was welcomed back on arrival. Forgotten I had stayed before .
Stayed in a 1 bedroom self contained apartment. Large room with comfy bed and cable TV.
Enjoyed the old world charm atmosphere of the hotel.
The room needs new carpet but this doesn't detract from appeal or comfort
The hotel is across road from Myer Centre and close to Mall.
Lots of food marts close by if you get hungry.
Great room deals to be had.
Will visit again
