If this place has one redeeming feature, it's the pool area. The rooms are run downand the dirt and filth in the rooms was to the point of disturbing. Since I was having meetings, quite a few people visited me over my stay. Three of these seven people were quite rudely verballed for parking in the visitors parking spots. I thought that what visitors parking is for but apparently management didn't agree when I challenged them about it. The hotel manager Anthony was far from polite when he can be found. He doesn't return phone calls either by the way. I think this hotel is yesterdays hero unless the management changes.

Just spent 4 days in Brisbane with my family. Booked these apartments based on the previous reviews and was not disappointed. The apartments are in a great location with easy walking access to all the main areas you'd want to get to in Brisbane.
The apartment was spacious, clean and had great views, especially over the Botanic Gardens opposite.
The staff on reception were very helpful and friendly.
Overall it was the family concensus that we couldn't have picked better accomodation for our first visit to Brisbane

We stayed in the hotel for s weekend away. The location and size of the rooms is excellent. But the shower is poor, towels worse (tiny and way too few). The Internet connection kept failing even though it was charged as an extra (later removed from the bill).

In summery the hotel is in need of some TLC from it's owners.

This was a beautiful hotel to be in as the views were spectacular. From our balcony we could look over the botanical gardens which were straight outside the hotel's main door and look across the Brisbane river. It was beautiful.
The main hustle and bustle of Brisbane was a five to ten minute walk away on either side. It was brilliant because it meant that at night you weren't disturbed by hotel and shop noise when you went to bed.
The apartements themselves were lovely. There was a small kitchen with a medium sized dining room and living room. The balcony was also lovely and the beds very comfortable.
Brisbane is brilliant! You have to visit it if you go to Australia. The hustle and bustle of it is fantastic and all the small little restaurants are great. There is also lots to see. I would recommend spending some time on the river bank opposite the hotel near the Queensland Art Gallery. There is a Ferris Wheel, the art gallery, and arts and crafts market and a large swimming area. It is great to just sit and people watch.
The botanical gardens are also beautiful and peaceful to walk through.
Definitely visit the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. If you want a picture with a Koala without the MASSIVE queue go for a relatively early time say 10.30? It's a 30 minute driveaway from the hotel but make sure you know the taxi driver KNOWS were he is going (we discovered this problem).
BRILLIANT FUN!
GREAT HOTEL! Lovely views and very nice gym - small and noone seems to visit it. However, the pool is very small and is in the shade from very early on in the afternoon. Restaurants in the hotel are also tad more expensive that if you went out in the evening and are very quiet and therefore can become awkward!

I stayed at Quay West for 3 nights. The apartments are comfortable, a good size, well furnished. Very comfy beds. View over the botanic gardens and river cliffs lovely. All staff very helpful and friendly. Unlike previous reviews I thought the food in the restaurant good though pricey. It certainly wasn't inspid and showed some real flair in the kitchen. We also stayed in the Quay West Suites in Melbourne and food there not nearly as good as in the Brisbane restaurant. All up a very good experience.

We had a great stay. Only complaint was that our son slept on the pull-out sofa but we didn't get a blanket. On the other hand housekeeping was top notch.
