“Third stay in 12 months”

We arrived about 10pm and we were checked in and in our room in about 5 mins. Very organised and friendly staff (they also helped us with our car parking - vehicle was too high for the normal car park which meant staff had to walk with us to where our car was and let us out - this was never a problem at any time). Hotel is a couple of minutes walk to Central Station and another five to ten minutes gets you into the Queen St Mall and shopping. Rooms are clean and roomy with two double beds. Curtains keep out the light when fully closed. Beds are firm. Breakfast was good. You save money if you pre-book it & the kids ate free. Eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, tomato, pikelets, breads & pastries, cereals, fruits and other bits & pieces. This stay we noticed that the staff were constantly checking there was enough of everything. Last time we stayed they were a bit slower but it was an extremely busy weekend (ACDC concert). We've stayed at this hotel three times in the last 12 months & have always been happy with our stay.

You are absolutely right, the weekend of the ACDC concert was incredibly busy with high volumes of guests arriving at the same time which did apply a lot of pressure on the team. We learned a lot from that weekend and will be able to improve upon our services ready for other big local events.

The feel in the rooms is a bit like a YHA hostel, especially the bathrooms (although they are large) and the signage around the hotel looks like it belongs in a school rather than an Accor Hotel at Novotel level. The rooms are clean and the linen fresh. Breakast was a complete farce. Not enough staff, various food and beverage items ran out and took ages to be replenished or weren't replenished at all. Clean crockery, glass wear and cutlery were no where to be found. The staff were friendly but over worked. At night around 7 pm there was only one staff member at the front desk and she had to answer the phones too.

stayed here 2 nights. The first evening after we got changed for bed our door suddenly burst open. I heard someone say that there was someone in there and the door was shut. Checking a minute or so later no on e was there so I contacted reception who knew about it. My gripe was that no one contacted us to apoligise. Other than that it was fine free internet on the ground floor.Free apples at reception. Also you have to use your room card key to operate the lift. Our room keys decided to deprogramme themselves so we had to get them reprogrammed.Had room service for beakfast both days. First day was very good second day had to send back the fruit salad and get a fresher one.

It is a very modern and livable property. I got it at a bargain rate of $99.00 on the spur of the moment. For that price, it is great value for money.

Rooms were fine, nothing spectacular but perfectly adequate.

The TV was a bit too small for a Novotel and the channel selection somewhat limited for a CBD property.

I would recommend it for a short stay or for a quick business trip. You will find all you need in an efficient environment.

I stayed here with my extended family for a wedding.
I didnt think much of the hotel as i didnt hear about any reviews before hand.
We arrived and the moment we stepped through the door, it was amazing.
The staff really make your stay and we loved our room.
It had comfy beds and the bathroom was very clean. I would definately reccommend the buffet brekky as it was absolutely amazing.!
again, the staff were SO SO SO lovely. They treated you so kindly and well. and without a doubt, i will be staying again.

My fiance travels ALOT for work an on this occassion it was in Brisbane for a 2 day training course. In the 2 days of his stay he had to go to the front desk 12 times to fix room access card as had no access to the floor of his room. The room was small and outdated for the price that was paid. Even though the company credit card was provided for ALL expences he still had to produce his own and funds were deducted from that even thoughit was all suppose to be on busness card provided. We are still chasing that money!!! The reception were most unhelpfull been given 3 different explanations and then been treated like mud by the front office manager on a number occassions.
I would never recommend this place ever!!!! My fiance has not stoped talking about his experience to our friends, family and anyone for that matter. Not happy Jan!!
