On arrival I was a bit concerned about the hotel location. However my original perception soon changed as I found it only a short walk to the city centre and shopping district, and a wonderful walk across the bridge to the art gallery and museum. The hotel is modern decor with very comfortable public areas. The seating in the bar lounge can be a little uncomfortable however take a seat at the bar and keep an eye open for the comfortable seats. I dined twice in the dining room for dinner. The menu reads a bit on the expensive side however the quality of food and the good portion sizes certainly provided good value for money. My room was spacious and comfortable. The staff in all departments have to be congratulated for excellent customer service.

The lobby was nice. I was visiting a friend who was staying there, and when we went to see her room I saw food trays outside rooms and there were no covers over the plates. It looked disgusting and it smelt. Glad I wasn't passing by there too often.

Was there for 1 night due to a function at the hotel. Room was spacious and clean and amenities are good. Was a little disappointed to get a disable room and the bathroom had no bathtub. Had little problem with the remote but that was fixed a little later. As per the previous reviewer, not the best location unless you plan to use the train station a lot. Good size bed and comfortable sleep although woke up at night to find the temperature went from cold to warm. However, service was good and all other facilities are good value.

I've stayed at the Novotel on a number of occasions. The rooms are nice and spacious, the staff friendly, helpful and professional.

The location is ideal as the downtown area is a short walk down the hill. The main railway station (with connections to the airport) is right next door.

The pool area is a little unloved but on a hot Brisbane day a dip is refreshing.

Highly recommended.

My husband and I spent one night here and loved it. The bed was soft, the shower a treat and the breakfast fresh and varied (although the coffee machine broke down!). The service was very good.

The location was central, but not ideal, as it was located on what could be called a "small hill" in the city. The immediate vicinity was rather quiet on a Saturday and a good place for a simple lunch proved to be hard to find.

Our room was probably the cheapest in the building (we did the early bird, no changes online rate of $152 per room, which I thought was great value with breakfast included), as our 'view' from the 6th floor was basically another building (with a city glimpse)!

Overall I was very satisfied with this hotel.

Stayed at the hotel, service was outstanding, rooms where clean and comfortable would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a hotel room overnight. Bar and room service, parking all available and of above average. Room had all the needs for business and would be a great weekend stay. Thanks to all the staff making my stay a good one. Can't fault anything everything you need they had.
