I stayed 2 nights at this hotel for a conference, it was convenient, quite and well catered for. The staff were very helpful and had no problems answering my many questions. The room service was well priced and fairly quick but if you wanted take out meals there was a comprehensive menu in the room which delivered to you. The room was clean and moderately large with well appointed kitchenette and lounge. the bedroom had a TV as well as lounge. the room was ordinary furnished and could be brightened up with a few colours. the bathroom was clean and enough space however the permanently open window vent made it uncomfortable and cold when showering.
parking was plentiful - although $27/day was a bit high for guests in my opinion.
it cost me $57 for a 20min taxi ride to airport.
For the smokers - you have to go outside and in the open, no dedicated smoking area so i had to endure the weather or give up! - a nice place to stay

Great location, friendly staff, clean hotel room! Upon booking I informed the staff the purpose of my visit was for my birthday and they went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect! They even left me a birthday card in my room. The room was open and very tidy, the bathroom huge overlooking the river.

Room Tip: The upgrade to the river view room is well worth it!

Was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Had to stay here for work and the rooms were huge. Amazing suites with a great view over the river and to south bank. The beds are comfortable, the room was clean and had everything you needed including microwave and small kitchenette. Hotel staff were so friendly. It was a great stay

Stayed here for a conference for work and was really impressed with the hotel.

Huge room that had a separate bedroom and bathroom and a very generous living/dining/kitchen area. The hotel had great facilities, with a restaurant that was pretty good, and the catering due the conference was always delicious.

Located just under 10 minutes from the Casino and the Rundle St Mall and on the opposite side of the river from Southbank, you're close to everything yet don't here a thing.

Would happily stay here again if I was visiting Brisbane as it's great value for money and really was a home away from home.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the river rather than the train tracks for a better view

Flew into Brisbane too late for the relatives to get us from the airport so decided to stay in town. Found Park Regis on a few sites with good reviews and great prices so booked it. Confirmation email arrived a few minutes later, great! Arrived at the hotel after 11 pm and were met with friendly and helpful staff. After a few minutes of formalities we were off to our room. The elevator took a little working out. The room was on the 8th floor overlooking the city and river, the views were impressive! The room appeared clean and well laid out. The bed was comfortable. We turned the air-conditioners off during the night as they were too noisy. The bathroom is on the small side, and I kept forgetting about the "ramp" before the bathroom door and nearly tripped a few times. It was rather annoying. The whole building reminds me of an apartment block that has been converted to a hotel, but isn't quite there yet.
During our stay, the facade was being renovated so workmen were riding elevators and working on scaffolding outside our windows, which was a little unnerving.
The location is great. We walked to "The Barracks" in about 10 minutes to get a meal (forgot it was Brisbane and not Melbourne so our choices were very limited at that hour). takes about 15 minutes to walk to the center of the city and there is plenty of public transport options right at the door. All-in-all, we consider the Park Regis a good choice.

As a 3 night business trip the stay was not bad. The bed was comfortable and so I slept well. The right lift key system would not work when I arrived and needed several attempts to get going. The left hand side lift was fine.

The room (no 82) was spacious, however the view was not great. Looking at trains is not my thing and so closed the blinds. Maybe a river view would have made the experience better. My room was booked using Wotif and I was unaware this included no house keeping service. I did not make the booking and have had this service for less money at another hotel down the road.

The cold shower tap fell off and almost hit my foot. This was repaired the next day so good. The TV remote did not work. The basin tap is loose and had no plug. This is not great for shaving. Paint work is not great and the room needs a good spring clean. The passage outside the room smells and needs an update. Old wooden decorations and old fashioned looking decor. This is very different to the entrance down stairs. You notice the change as soon as you get into the lifts.

The breakfast was ok. The pineapple juice was not pineapple. The bacon was undercooked on the first day, however improved on day 2 and 3. Day 3 started with no scrambled egg, however arrived soon afterwards. The coffee cups look like you are getting some special blend, however the coffee in the pots is average. Nothing great. An average breakfast, however much better at another hotel down the road.

The Park Regis is further away from the CBD and for less money you can get better value for money and only be 2 blocks away from Queen St. So a view of the river would be important, to consider the extra cost without house keeping. Maybe paying a lot more would make the stay better.

Would I stay again? Maybe if the price included a river view, house keeping and a good spring clean. I can get a better deal at the moment. The parking is $27 per day, which is the same as the other hotel I use.

I liked the size of the room, kitchen and table with lounge. Also 2 TVs and separate room. The layout was good. Bath had jets, however I do not think they work. The paint work is up and down in places in the bathroom.

When I checked out they asked if I had a lemonade from the mini bar. I never use this, as the price is higher than getting items in the city. I am surprised this came up. Who drank the lemonade? Not me.

So in summary -> Customer satisfaction = Expectations vs Reality. Reality was lower than my expectations and so an average stay. Not bad, nor good. Just average.
