Stayed at the Mercure which was within walking distance to Southbank for a conference. The hotel had just been renovated, you could still smell the paint. We arrived a little early (about 12:15) and when we went to ask where we could park the car until we checked in we were advised the room was ready and we could check in straight away. The car parking area entry is right at the end of the hotel driveway....we unloaded our bags then parked the car. Queen Street Mall is within 2 blocks, an easy walk. We enjoyed the "green cabs" (bikes that have a bench seat at the back) a couple of times when walking over to Southbank ($10-$15) and used an ordinary cab one night after dinner ($13) but was a pleasant walk anyway. Staff were pleasant and we enjoyed our stay.
