Stayed there for one night (Saturday) to go to the Brisbane Ekka as it was handy to public transport as we came by train, it was an easy walk to and from the train station to catch the train to the Ekka. The room was clean comfy and quiet, the staff could not be more helpful. The only 2 things on the downside where that the restaurant was not open on Saturday night and there for no room service and the last thing was no complementary biscuits to go with your cuppa. I would stay there again. This hotel was great value as we got this as a wotif mystery hotel deal.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay at the Ibis Brisbane. We are delighted to have made a positive impact on your experience at the hotel.
It is a pleasure to read that you enjoyed our friendly staff and central location. We pride ourselves on having caring and efficient service from our frontline teams. Unfortunately the Ibis Restaurant is closed for dinner service over the weekend. However all guests are able to purchase items off our ‘Grab it and Go’ menu, or alternatively dine at our sister hotel, the Mercure Brisbane, which is only a hallway away.

Once again thank you for your feedback, I look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel.
Kind regards,

Monika Kolakowski

What we have liked from the place is the location and comfort. Ideal for a family of 4 we are, to stroll around Brisbane, by walking, by bus or by train. It allowed us to come from the airport by train and the train station is walking distance to the hotel. It allowed us to go by bus to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary as the bus station is just nearby on the riverside. You have all the nice spots walking distance: Queen street, City Hall, King George Square, South Bank, etc...In another word, a very good place to stay!

The hotel was fine for what we needed - we ate in the hotel restaurant once and it was hit and miss - quantity and quality of food was excellent but the waitress was PAINFULLY slow and unobservant - thankfully the English barman from Blackpool no less was on the ball, and hopped into action and saved the day - just! Good on you fella.
The rooms were plenty big enough, the shower was very good and powerful and overall the place was clean and tidy

I booked this hotel as it was on special of 50% through hotels.com otherwise the actual room rate is not worth the price.
checking in was easy and friendly, though as I had a rental car, they don't have parking onsite and you have to drive back out of the hotel and drive around the whole block to park. it was absolutely crazy and a nightmare trying to navigate through traffic. Parking is located in their sister hotel, the Mercure hotel behind the ibis. when finally found the parking lot, parked my car, the parking attendant gives you a key and a ticket to retain. There is no access from the parking to the main hotel, so you have to walk up the car ramp with your luggage and through the boom gates, totally unprofessional. Once you enter the Mercure hotel, there are signs pointing towards the Ibis hotel, so once you make your way across a long corridor, there are no elevators to gain access to the Ibis, you have to carry your luggages up a set of stairs. Once you manage to navigate and carry your bags up the first step of stairs, there are 2 more sets of stairs that you have to go up!! absolutely ridiculous! and to top things off, the overnight parking is $27 a night! insane.

the rooms are quite spacious, clean and with modern tv, however no mini bar, no water in the room.

good selection and well priced room service from the restaurant.

the hotel is not far to walk to the Queen st mall, only about a 5-10min walk. Roma train station is close by and several bus stops.

the hotel breakfast I found was quite expensive, $30 for the buffet.

I though I would stay one extra night at this hotel, and when I rang to see what the rate was, it was more than double the rate, absolute rip off.

don't believe I would be stayaing at this hotel again unless it is at 50% off the normal rate and don't have a car

Room Tip: don't stay if you have a car with you.
