“South BAnk Parklands”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

This was the site of expo 88 that was given back to the people of Brisbane. Located across the Brisbane River within easy walking distance from the centre of the business it is a great asset. Next to places like the Queensland performing arts centre, it features sandy beaches in the middle of a city, gardens and more, it is a people's place. Well suited to family activities it is very popular especially in summer time.

“A must in a hot city”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Walked from Victoria bridge to Goodwill bridge (Maritime Museum) on a bright day and what a lovely surprise, so much do see and wander through. As it was a Sunday there was team boating also going on and buskers etc. the beach area was amazing and if you have children the area for them is a must. The bougainvillea walk is beautiful and plenty of picnic areas too, just watch out for the amusing Ibis! We had drinks at The Ship Inn, a great little place with history before walking back over the Goodwill bridge. The South Bank is along the lines of South Bank, London and great for art too.

“Excellent space in easy reach of the city.”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

South Bank is a great place to visit and well worth a look around. There are lots of gardens, restaraunts and a lovely meandering walkway with such an interesting overhead structure. It is easy to access from the city, and a good place to spend a day, with the museum and galerries all located so close by. We visited in heavy rain, which was a shame, but it is easy to imagine a lovely day there, with lots of shade available and plenty of places to stop for refreshments or just a sit down and rest.

“Eye of Brisbane”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

We visited South Bank in Brisbane and had a ride on the Wheel. What a wonderful experience, it was a very hot day, but it was cool and enjoyable while listening to the information about Brisbane. To our pleasure it went around 5 times so we could really take in the sights, good value!
South Bank, what a lovely place to stroll through the rainforest, with lots to see.
We difinately recommend a visit.
