A fun if touristy day out. Cuddle a koala, stroke and feed the kangaroos and wallabies up close, watch a sheep shearing demo and even see a platypus. Pleasant environment and reasonable value if booked in advance

“Great Place for the Family”
Reviewed July 5, 2014

This is our first visit to Lone Pine and we love it. It is not to far from the Brisbane city ( about 20 min drive, you may also take the bus). You can have the Shepherd Dog and Sheep Shearing show, Bird shows, Educational sessions on dingo, python and crocodile. You may come in close contact with kangaroos, emus and farm animals. The ticket is very reasonable. We highly recommend it to family.

“Get close to kangaroos! And hug a koala!”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

The kangaroos here let you pet them and even lie down with them. It was so much fun! There were also a variety of other animals as well, such as dingoes, platypuses, etc. And of course, hugging a koala is a must!

“Always a fun day at Lone Pine”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

We often take our overseas or interstate visitors here and it's always an enjoyable experience. It has old world charm, nothing polished or artificial about Lone Pine. There's an abundance of koalas, kangaroos and wildlife to enjoy up close, it's easy to navigate your way around and you can easily do it in half a day if time is an issue. It's always great fun to arrive by river ferry. The snack bar has the best hot dogs and the shops sells a lovely selection of souvenirs.

“A great morning”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

I had seen Australian wildlife many times before on previous trips to Australia, but I went with a Chinese colleague, for whom this was his first trip. We had only a couple of hours to spare between work commitments and it is not far from the centre of Brisbane. We had a lift out and took the bus back (these are regular) and our 2 hours there enabled us to see a wide range of animals, not to mention having our photos taken cuddling a koala! It was sunny, (wonderful Brisbane winters) and we really enjoyed it.
