“Great for getting close to Aussie wildlife”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

This is a fantastic place to go to see wildlife you might not see in the wild. Great for families and tourists as you can feed and hold the animals. There is a kiosk and gift shop so you can make a day of it if you wish. In a good central location this sanctuary is easy to get to and well worth a visit.

“Great Wildlife Park”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

This a great little wildlife park, just a short bus ride from Brisbane city centre. There are plenty of koalas, as you would expect but there is a lot more too, lots of kangaroos and wallabies that you are able to feed. There are also many more animals, including platypus, cassowary and birds of prey.

The volume of animals and the interesting and informing shows made for a very good day out.

“Worth a look”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

We have been here twice - My girlfriend loves Koalas!
It is worth a visit as it is only a few Km's from the city.

It is very close also to the Planetarium which is great....

Get there early (like anything else).....

“Did what it said on the tin”

Nice day out from Brisbane. Saw everything that was billed and in comfortable surroundings. My Russian friends are still looking for more recruits. Take a packed lunch - food on site looked questionable.

“We did not mind the price it all goes to overheads!”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

We had a lovely day at Lone Pine & would have no hesitation in recommending it to families with kids for a great day out. Save a little by bringing your own picnic & drinks (share with super friendly kangaroos) to have on the huge amount of grassy areas. The koala areas gave superb viewing, some of them had Joey's with their little faces popping out of the pouch, looking at us looking at them!!
As for price & paid photo opportunities we accept these places need money to run, maintain, feed & staff them so of course they have to charge entry & it is your choice to select & pay for photos other than those you take yourself around the park. We purchased absolutely lovely photos of the koala nursing & the python wrap around, our littlie was just thrilled & the staff managed to pose both he & the animals without a hitch.
Well worth the money & we would do it all over again ... wonderful!
