Probably one of the nicest zoos I've been to in Aus, it's alarmingly big and has loads of native animals...and obviously holding a koala was a big plus! They have loads of the little guys here and switch over the animals every couple of people which was good, so it's not just one doing all the posing!! It's not too expensive to get in and it's only a bit extra to get the photo, but if you don't want to do that there's still heaps to do, bird flights, petting zoo and feeding kangaroos and wallabies. All in all very very worth it!

really loved the koala sanctuary , nice to get up close and personal with the animals.

It was great to see all the native animals in a natural setting, and loved that we could actually pet the kangaroos.

Although it is sad to say it is definitely getting a bit tired now & due for a big makeover it still is such a gem to visit. Take the boat ride up river only adds to the experience. Lots of iconic animals to cuddle & view - all the tourists love the visit.

We spend a day at the Koala Sanctuary, and usually I'm not a big fan of this type of attractions, but it is really nice and the vet nurses and caretakers really do some for the animals in there. If you visiting Australia and have trouble to spot the wildlife in nature, I can recommend the Sanctuary to get a close look at this incredible wildlife.
Definitely worth a visit!
