Owner description: Brisbane's most famous landmark features the circular Concert Hall, a world-famous grand piano organ and a majestic view from the clock tower.

I took my young kids up the clock tower. They loved it. A cheap excursion for the day. Great thing to do on the holidays.

I went here to see the displays of fashion through the ages (Australia's age - not that we have been around that long). The City Hall employees treat you like an inconvenience, that is if they even bother to acknowledge your existence. The display was poorly lit (probably to preserve the frocks, etc) and this made it hard to read the inscriptions and signs.

It will reopen in 2013! Another iconic building in Brisbane's CBD which has a large plaza in front of it. Enjoy from outside and also go inside. Beautiful old building.

A very interesting Building to see when visiting Brisbane for the first time. It should be combined with some other sightseeing while in Brisbane as you dont need to spend a lot of time there. Good to take Photos.

The City Hall is currently closed but will open in 2013.

When it re-opens there are some things worth visiting.

I presume the Museum of Brisbane will move back in and this used to have some interesting exhibits. I haven't been to it in it's (temporary) location but it used to be good prior to the renovations.

The other thing to check out is the clock work tower look out. Once it was the tallest city building but it is now dwarfed. Big warning, watch what time you go up. The clock is righ beneath you and it goes off in 15 minute intervals with the hourly ones gonging the hours (so 12 noon you get the song and 12 very loud gongs)

King George Square often has things happening in the front - currently a Christmas tree. Mid year it had an ice skating rink!

And the photo on there with the silver ball things in front is actually a photo of the Treasury Casino, not City Hall.
