The Gardens in Mt Cootha is a great place to go with children and adults alike. Plenty of shady areas to sit and and relax with also a great area to see the widlife - ducks, turtles, lizards and birds which are abundant. A great day out and you can even enjoy a coffee in the restaurant.

its on the way to mt cootha, worth a stop - beautiful gardens, scenic, also in the same grounds as the Planetarium, the shows are reasonable there and very interesting and educational.

This is a lovely park to visit for all ages. Food from early morning, flowers, trees, wildlife, and some areas are very quite and tranquil as well as being peaceful. Don,t miss any of the guided tours they are very informative the gentleman who took us round had many years of experience working at the park and past on his knowledge well. The restruarant is open fronted with superb views and interactions with the wildlife. A great experience.

My husband and I spent a relaxing afternoon walking through the many gardents of the Mt. Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. The gardens are very diverse, well-planned and such an "uncrowded" place. We loved it!
