This is a lovely hotel. We stayed for 2 nights in mid December. Service was perfect and polite from the moment we arrived. We were upgraded to a river view room. The quality and comfort of this room was obvious upon entering. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Located close to the river and the many walking paths Brisbane offers, it gave us the opportunity to go on early morning walks and enjoy the quieter, relaxed side of this city. Close to the city cat ferry for a leisurely trip down the Brisbane River. Overall, this was a nice place to stay.

Room Tip: Higher floor with river view and view of the bridge would be a good choice as opposed to a city view...

We have been two nights at the Marriott. We choose because of the Marriot name and the location, just on queen street.
You have a concierge and the taxi drop-off in one floor and the main entrance in another one, that is cumbersome. Turn down service only if you request it.
The pool is very small, and if you want sauna you have to wait for the room to warm up.
Breakfast is very good but there are few tables for all the guests you might have to wait a while.

Room Tip: River viw is the best,

Booked a two night package which included valet parking & full breakfast. Succumbed to the river view upgrade for $30 per night, could not stretch it to the Exec Lounge access though. Typical Marriott room which means plenty of space, luxurious bed/pillows, all mod cons & no stupid auto fridge thing.
Talking of cons the dressing gowns supplied were child size & when will 4/5* hotels wake up & provide free Wifi ?, we are no longer on a company account, unfortunately. If a 3* like Sullivans in Perth can manage it at half the room rate why not the Marriott & their ilk ?
Pool/spa facilities were excellent with great views.
Breakfast was international with an efficient chef on hand for any special requests. Food was great but not sure what "rustic" baked beans are meant to be ?, old stock from Heinz FoodService maybe ?
Being picky only two issues, lighting way too subdued for breakfast, our pituitary requires plenty of light to wake us up, especially if jet-lagged, and, could not find any plain yoghurt, all flavoured.
Finally, to be expected from a Marriott, all staff provided great service.

Room Tip: The upgrade to a river view always provides something to watch, whether the ferries or Story Bridge...

Hotel was great, we stayed in an Executive room which gives you access to the Executive Lounge (drinks, desert, breakfast and snacks available at no extra).

Staff were really helpful and friendly.

Would go back again for sure. Recommended highly

Stayed here for one night recently on a Wotif Mystery Hotel deal. Was so pleased with our choice and it was the wonderful staff that made our stay so memorable. From the first point of contact at concierge to the check in desk, room service, restaurant staff..they were all exceptional. We received a free upgrade to a river view room...great views and the comfiest king bed i have ever slept in. Lovely breakfast at the restaurant there, quite reasonable too. Love the pool area also.
Would definitely stay here if in Brisbane again. Nice ferry ride 5 min walk away takes you to Southbank.

Found this hotel to be in a great area overlooking Story Bridge. You can step across the street to the river walk where there are plenty of restaurants and riverboat tours to see. Hotel was top notch from the room to the check-in staff. Very nice stay, will return.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking Story Bridge. It lights up at night.
