We recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We had a room which was on the 16th floor which was very spacious and the king size bed very comfortable.
We could hear some noise of the trains as we overlooked the rail tracks .
We ate at the restuarant for dinner on two occasions. The food was very nice
The staff were very efficient and friendly.
The hotel is very convenient location to all of city and is adjacent to the Roma Street Railway Station .There is an AirTrain to the international and domestic termiinals which runs every half hour. The cost is $16 per person .
The mall is within walking distance. There are a number of small eateries nearby for daytime snacks.
The fire alarm went off in the adjoining building whilst were there and we were most impressed by the prompt information from the reception desk regarding this problem . The message came into the room loud and clear of the problem and then we were later advised it was a false alarm.

Stayed here as a one night stopover in Brisbane. We arrived late and were welcomed at the front desk by a very friendly clerk. The hotel is in a convenient location on top of the Roma St transit station. It has been recently refurbished and the rooms are lovely and fresh and clean. Well set out. We ordered room service and the service was prompt and the food was lovely and HOT. But as it is so centrally located you could step out the front door and there is a variety of places to eat. We had a room over looking Roma St parkland on level 8. You could hear a faint noise from the train, but not that loud. Also there was some noise from the adjoining room. Air con was lovely after coming from Fiji !

This was my first stay at this property under is new name and ownership, Traders Hotel Brisbane.

If you are looking for a central location in the Brisbane CBD, then the location of this property is perfect. Queen Street Mall (the main retail/shopping area of Brisbane) is only a block or so away and public transport is just downstairs.

The check-in process was efficient and my requests were all delivered promptly by the hotels wonderful staff.

Rooms were clean and well stocked with all the usual amenities expected and bathroom was of a decent size for a downtown hotel. I am positive my room had double glazing however sound from a nearby pub/bar/night club did interrupt my sleep until about 0100hrs.

The breakfast spread was good, and once again the staff were marvellous at the restaurant MJs.

We actually stayed here by luck and had been assigned this through a mystery Hotel booking, and needless to say we were more than satisfied with our mystery assignment.

Upon check in, we were given a standard Queen room, however, upon arriving at the room they had assigned us a room which was in the process of being cleaned, my only negative experience. However, they very kindly upgraded us to a Kingroom (I'm sure they took pity on us with our twin infants in tow and our mass amount of luggage!) Needless to say we were given a corner room which was very spacious indeed and very nicely refurbished. Perfect size for the infant travels cots.

Hotel staff were very obliging and generally helpful. The locality of the Hotel is excellent (right on top of the Transit Centre, and also near to the River. It's also walkable to the Barracks where the Resturants and bars are. Overall very good indeed.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for the June long weekend. We booked the hotel as a "secret hotel" on wotif.com because it seemed like a good deal for accommodation near the city over the busy long weekend period.

Check in was a little slow, as the two people behind the front desk were both attending to one person who was checking in before us (perhaps one employee was new?) but the check in staff were very polite and friendly.

We opted not to upgrade to a King room and were happy with this decision, as our Queen room on the 10th floor (we got room 1004 - a corner room) was very spacious. The room was very clean and tidy, had a good sized TV with digital and Foxtel/cable channels, as well as the option for pay-movies. There was a separate chair, coffee table and chaise, as well as a desk and chair. There was a mini bar, tea & coffee making facilities, in room safe, iron, ironing board and good sized wardrobe. The bathroom was clean, large enough and had a bath/shower combination.

The only slight negative is that the rooms on one side of the hotel (our side) face the train line and some train noise can be heard, however this didn't bother us too much. The plus side is that the hotel is located right at Roma St. train station, making it convenient for public transport. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the main mall in the city and within walking distance (maybe 20 minutes) of Suncorp Stadium for people attending events there.

Overall a great experience, especially for the "secret hotel" price. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room on the side of the hotel that is not facing the train lines.
