On our first visit to the French Martini the food was delicious. On our last visit the food was not great. First the soup was not hot, the prawns rubbery and service not as friendly and attentive. Would not go back.

Are you tired of Thai, Indian, modern Australian? Great real French food!!! with pink, white and black decor. Free escargot to taste when you sit down. Small menu but beautiful selections even for picky eaters like me (fish of the day, prawns, beef filet and for those less picky, confit duck l'orange and a French chicken) and it is a very comfortable french/family environment that I believe they will make something to your dietary requirements. Many people walked up little grey street, looked at the menu and kept on walking, I believe due to the small menu. I ask though, would you rather have a few fantastic items on the menu or many good items you have to choose from? The service was great because an adorable French lady welcomely invites you, but she was really the only one waiting on tables. I'm guessing they weren't expecting such a crowd. The meals/entrees were very reasonably priced! (baked Brie $9 yum! Duck $23). The wines were expensive... But all French, so you get what you pay for. The waitress was very helpful where she offered her advice on what we are having and said why don't I give you a try on those two and you can decide. Amazing experience!!!!!! You must try as a cultural experience.

French Martini was a classic french experience. The food was true to form and was not overly modernized and we felt like we were back in Paris. Staff were french and very helpful. We had the steak tartare, camerbert dip entree, shared the mussels and creme brulee. All were delicious, we will be back.

A group of 9 celebrating a birthday. The restauarant itself is small and intimate with cosy French decor. Waiters were young and enthusiastic. Menu had a good range of entree and classic french mains. Cocktails were the go. Prices were very reasonable and the food was simply delicious and portions were just right - even for the men of the group. The lemon pie was too die for and served elegantly in champagne glasses. It was such a refreshing change from the new breed of restaurants that present you with a list of do's, don'ts forgetting who is the paying customer!! You can't go wrong for a casual lunch or a sophisticated night out.
