“What A Surprise”
Reviewed May 24, 2014 via mobile

We stopped here today by complete chance and we were blown away by the quality of the food. Tucked away back from the rivers edge it may not have the views some of those pompous cafés down on the river have but man the food was fantastic !!!!

“Great Sunday lunch”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

Our party of approximately 20 enjoyed a leisurely lunch at The Ship Inn last Sunday. We found the service and food to be excellent and the wait staff coped very well with our large group. It is in a great location at south bank with a very relaxed atmosphere.

“Lamb lovers rejoice!”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

First time to the Ship Inn for many many years - and what a change! We both had the braised lamb rump which was delicious - served with kipfler potatoes and brocolini. Service was excellent and very professional. Lots of gluten free options - very pleasing.

“A special gem of an eatery!”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

The very relaxed and pub-like atmosphere belies the stunning food prepared and served here. I've never been disappointed in the quality and flavour of the offerings (do try the lamb when you come here...its the best that I've had in SE Queensland)...the prices are great, as are the staff...welcoming and gracious hosts and engaging servers...they also are happy to change it up to the customers liking...or course you can just have a glass of wine too, they are happy for you to stay...no pressures to move on (unlike most of the other restaurants around them)...young and old enjoy the place...can't say enough about the Ship Inn...a real gem!

“Great value for money and comfortable relaxed atmosphere”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

If you're looking for an upmarket and exclusive restaurant experience - don't come here. This is a pub but it's definitely worth a visit. Sitting at the far end of South Bank near the Goodwill Bridge, the verandah of the Ship Inn is an excellent spot for people watching while enjoying a drink and a basic meal. The dinner menu isn't extensive but there's something to satisfy most people with steaks, chicken and pasta dishes and all are pretty good value. The braised lamb shanks in winter are a must. Staff are friendly and efficient and service is quite good. It's very casual but a lovely way to unwind after a busy day at work or out sight-seeing.
