Ate here on Saturday night early on our way to a concert. Chose it because of the many rave reviews. Our booked table was outside so we asked to move inside as it was a chilly evening and this wasn't a problem as we weren't going to be there all evening. First impressions were good but it took a while between the delivery of menus and the taking of our order. We ate carpaccio of veal which was excellent & lacey thin with a delicious dressing. Then partner had trout (which looked suspiciously like salmon) and I had medallions of pork. I've always believed medallions to be slices of fillet but these were more like small boneless chops, one of which was overcooked and dry. The other was tender and moist. The potatoes were rather strange having been cooked in red wine which was visually off-putting. Partner ate them as I was under-impressed by the flavour. People on the next table were having a problem with a long wait between courses but we were fed and out within an hour. Might give it a second try.

Nine of us dined here on a busy Friday night. Not everyone had an entree and of those that did, most had the lightly fried calamari, prawn & zucchini with chilli mayo. Although a bit heavy handed on the salt, the meal was melt in the mouth tender. For the mains, the two that were raved about were the squid ink gnocchi with tiger prawns and the fish of the day which was trout. Between the rest of us we had the braised wagyu, fettuccini with pork cheek & wild boar ragu, pork medallions, and lamb rack, all of which received average to good reviews - nothing outstanding. The four desserts that were chosen were tiramisu, cannoli, pannacotta, and mousse, all of which were very generous in proportion and delicious. The service was excellent.

We dine out regularly and love Dell Ugo. We regularly visit and often take visitors to this restaurant. Lovely attentive service, friendly staff, fabulous Italian Food with a modern edge, very creative dishes and a wide variety of choice on the menu, which changes seasonally, yet retains some of the favourites through the year. We love Dell Ugo. We have been for special events here, they cater well to this. We have also dined on our own or with friends and found it to be a delight each time. Love it!

We dined here on Thursday 26.06.14 and loved it! We chose the 5 course degustation menu and were not disappointed. Wait staff were friendly and attentive, each course came out at just the right time and portion sizes were quite generous for a degustation menu. We opted to byo our own wine. This is an option available from Sunday to Thursday nights making the price for the degustation $95 each which is quite reasonable for the quality and freshness of the food. All the courses were beautiful, we enjoyed every mouthful especially the desert... the Sicilian mess was simply outstanding! Great location too, with indoor and outdoor seating and lovely views across to the South Bank arbour.
