This restaurant does seem to polarise opinion, doesn't it. A reading of a good number of these reviews makes you wonder if people were eating at the same place: some love it, some don't - with very little in between. Well, we are in the positive camp with an excellent meal on a very busy Saturday night (a statement in itself, surely) though possibly a tad overpriced for some menu items. I'll let others judge that. Food flavoursome with a good combination of traditional and more adventurous. The service was efficient as well as thoughtful. One word of caution - when it's busy inside, it's noisy so hard of hearing older persons watch out!

Dinner on Saturday night 29 March. Good location, great service and an impressive menu. We both really enjoyed the occasion and will definitely be back. The scallops, lasagne, zucchini fritters, linguini and Italian mess, accompanied by a bottle of Sav Blanc were all perfect. Thanks for taking such great care of us.

We dined here Friday night choosing the 5 course degustation with matching wines. Superb is all I can say. The timing was impeccable with the option to delay the next course if required. All ingredients were of highest quality and much attention was paid to detail and temperatures of the food. The wait staff were best I have experienced- not overly attentive but were there when you needed them and were very poised and well trained. Only detail lacking was it is nice if they introduce themselves to you at the start. Yes, I agree, not a cheap meal but the experience is with every cent. We will be back.

A truly delightful meal. The 5 course degustation covers a wonderful array of food. Service is excellent.
Discovered this restaurant about 18 months ago and it was the obvious choice for this return trip.
Ironically it is not busy - I suspect tourists in the area go for the more pedestrian offerings. If dell' ugo was in Melbourne it would be booked out.
