My wife was suggested this place for my birthday as I love craft beer and good food. I certainly wasn't disappointed, they had an awesome selection of beers and cocktails and all were reasonably priced. The food itself was great too, my wagyu burger was fantastic and they actually mince their own meat, my wife had the suckling pig sandwich which was juicy and tender and the wedges with chilli beef we shared on the side were fantastic. The only disappointment was they were out of pork crackling as a starter but hopefully next time

The main reason to go is for the extensive selection of craft beers and in this respect I was not disappointed. The choice of brews on tap was excellent and the 3 I tried were all good in their own way. The staff really knew their stuff and added to the relaxed ambience. What really surprised me was how tasty the wagyu burger was. It comes with gherkins instead of beetroot which for me is a real plus.

Located in suburban New Farm, Bitter Suite offers a range of craft beers, foods, and atmosphere. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and being a cool night we chose indoors. The indoor area offers tables made of large polished planks of wood sitting on high barrels as well as the more conventional table and chair. There is an array of decorations including framed beer coasters and vases filled with bottle tops. The staff are friendly, competent, knowledgeable about the food and drinks list, and offer enough service without being at the table too often. There is a range of food on offer, each with its own interpretation. There is a range of tap and bottled beers, all from craft brewers – there are no macro-brewery products here! However while the beer range is quite extensive there is no real differentiation from other craft beer bars. It’s well worth a visit.

Bit disappointed with our visit here on a Sunday afternoon. Staff are terrific, friendly and knowledgeable about beers. Ambience is good with a great variety of furniture inside and outside ( couches, high bars, normal tables etc). But the food was a great disappointment - very high carb, stodge. Wedges were like enormous dry bricks with large dollops of sour cream on top but with little taste. Vege burger was crispy but completely lacked taste. Duck pancakes had little pancake. Nice enough for families wanting a place for a relatively cheap eat in the weekend but don't go for the food.
