“Authentic food, great service and good music!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

After walking the strip and checking different menus we decided to try this place that always was crowded before going to the theater. The music was very lively and from Spain...Yeah!!! Nothing better than eating great Tapas, drinking sangria and listening to fun Spanish music. Instead of the regular music that they play in many places. We decided to go for some Tapas that they offer bigger portions to share. Only having a little lunch we're ready for it. The empanadas were very tasty and perfect to start with the white sangria, that our waitress gave us a little taste. The staff was great and we didn't have to wait a lot for our food. We ordered the manchego and tomato salad, the beef cheeks and the tortilla. We order some bread and tried their EVOO and was delicious to dip the bread on it! Everything was very good. A little more Manchego would have been great in the salad though. The cheeks were very tender and with a very unique flavor. We never tried them before and they were good. Kind of like a tender roast but much more tastier and fattier. The tortilla was very good but on the smaller side, enough for one person and not to share, as they said. We had a great dinner and we'd go back to try more good Tapas!

“Great vibe, lovely food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

Really enjoyed our family meal at Ole. Service was wonderful. The Spanish kids menu was a nice change from the usual, and my kids enjoyed the chicken skewers with saffron rice and the fish with patatas bravas. The margaritas were lovely and the tapas excellent. If we return, would be keen to try the paella for 2, which looked equally good.

“A good representation of tapas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013 via mobile

I enjoyed my experience at Ole and was impressed with the food considering it is in the heart of the tourist strip in South Bank. Service was good and food was delivered fast and fairly reasonably priced. The place has a lively atmosphere and we enjoyed sitting at the bench watching the world go by.

“Fab food, fun staff, moderate prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

This restaurant, located at Brisbane's Southbank presinct is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening. The Sangria is yummy, albeit not particularly cheap but the food...it is particularly good from the tapas to the paella. The scallops on the pork and paprika sausage is seriously good and the calamari and whitebait with aioli is one I continue to have even though there are heaps of other delicious tapas. Try Ole if you are on the vicinity. It is well worth it.
