We ended up here after another Greek restaurant stuffed up our booking. Guess where we won't be going back to. Great food, excellent service.

Went to dinner with friends and decided to have the 8 course meal. At the end of the 8th course we were left dissapointed and hungry. The servings provided for 6 adults was not even close to enough. We were left very disappointed and will not be returning.

Food here is proper good Greek, that is simple, delicious and honest. I've been three times and have what I would call a consistent quality that makes you glad you went. Service was slow but as expected in these economic times a family run business has to cut it cloth to suit. However I'd gladly swap slow service for the good food, a worthwhile trade off I'd say. Any of the seafood dishes are worth trying.

We hadn't planned to go to West End for lunch but there were traffic delays in the CBD and West End seemed a good option. We've walked past Kafe Meze a few times but had never been in. As we looked at the menu outside we were warmly greeted by the proprietor. She was so genuinely inviting that we went in. Kafe Meze is much bigger than it looks from the street - there are several small rooms inside (an old Queenslander) and then a deck at the back, overlooking a courtyard area covered by a large blue 'sail' shade cover. We sat on the balcony - enjoying the blue and white ambience. After discussing gluten free options on the menu (again the Proprietor was very helpful - suggesting options and offering advice) we chose the seafood meze for two. I'm sorry that I didn't think to take a photo before we'd eaten some of it - and the photo doesn't really do the meal justice. Still it gives you an idea. We had a leisurely and enjoyable lunch. The meal was good value for money - especially with the Entertainment Book voucher that gave us 25% off. We would recommend the Kafe Meze for its food and hospitality (and general quirkiness) and we will be back.
