Rouj Modern Lebanese at Rosalie is not your usual late night kebab joint. This is Lebanese fine dining with all the dishes that we tried being of a high standard, and very fresh and beautifully presented. Sodith, the owner and head chef works hard to treat her guests to a very authentic and delicious dining experience. The menu offers a selection of the familiar mezzas- Hommos, Baba Ganouj, Kebbi- all are very fresh and tasty. The Spinach rolls are light and lemony and a good way to start. The Cheese fingers are also recommended. We ordered the Slow Cooked lamb and the Barramundi Main dishes- between 2 of us. Both were sensational. The lamb is rich and aromatic with complex clove and spice flavours, and the fish was perfectly cooked and was served on a bed of rice generously dotted with caramelized onion, pistachio and pomegranate. So delicious and rich in flavors. Look forward to bringing friends back here to share this great local dining experience. BYO is also a bonus with the convenience of a bottle shop next door.

I have been to Rouj on two occasions, and enjoyed both the fish dishes and the vegetarian platter. But the venue is quite noisy, so it is better to get a table next to the entrance.

I tried the lamb cutlets which were perfectly cooked and served with a tasty fresh tabouleh. My dish also came with chips - which were cooked exactly how I like them - slightly crispy.
The service was excellent. We were mainly served by a male waiter who was from Melbourne. He engaged us in conversation without being instrusive and was attentive to our every whim (not that we had many :))
Portions are healthy so we ended up with a doggy bag which was polished off the day after - allowing us to continue our Rouj experience.
Reasonably priced - $60 for starters, 2 mains, BYO, dessert, traditional coffee and a mint tea.

Am currently addicted to the braised chcken livers in some sort of pomegranate sauce served over salad, it's on the starter menu but, with another starter of babah ganoush (sp?), or other dip, and pitta, it's plenty. Also fabulous is the chicken kebabs and barramundi. Service with a smile and is byo too.

Four of us had dinner, for the first time there, on a Saturday evening. Found the place through an internet search and decided to book based on the good reviews. We sat down at 6:30pm and by 7pm the place was full. The service was excellent. The wait staff happy to explain particular items on the menu. We had a mixed platter to start with. For the price it was a bit light on but the food was very good. Two of us went for the barramundi which had excellent flavours but a very small piece of fish. The other two had the MYO skewers which were excellent but again not 'overwhelming' in quantity. There was not much in the way of accompaniments on any of the dishes. Corkage was reasonable at $2.50 a head.
