Description: At Jellyfish we aim to source and serve daily a school of 8 to 14 species of fish, to learn about and understand the textures and specific qualities of each species so we can then recommend the best way to cook and serve it. Our chefs create sauces, batters and crumbs as well as an extensive range of side dishes that perfectly compliment the meal. Absolute riverfront, this is arguably the best located restaurant in Brisbane enjoying striking views of the river and the Story Bridge. The décor is fresh and bright with the lines between indoors and out delightfully blurred. We offer a superior wine list of boutique, eclectic and lesser known vineyards as well as firm favourites from the new and old world. Service in the restaurant, the 35-seat Private Dining Room and in our newly expanded bar is always gracious, friendly and relaxed.

“If you want good seafood go to Jellyfish”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2014

Excellent seafood restaurant overlooking the Brisbane river so if you can gets table outside you also get a nice view of the boardwalk and the Story Bridge. I've been here a few times and had different fish each time, I have had an enjoyable experience each time. The only thing I was a little disappointed with this time is that i booked a table for 6 and yet we were all kept waiting in the foyer area to be seated for a few mins even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. I had booked an outside table and it hadn't been set up in time. It's a little on the pricy side but good quality, clean, good table service and good food.
The only other minus is that the toilets are up a side alley behind the restaurant, it's a bit dark and people seem to get a little lost, especially after a couple of glasses of wine!

“Great Seafood Restaurant Choice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2014

Jellyfish is a great choice for seafood in the Eagle Street area. Offering several different choices of fish varieties, plus some great mains as well. Service and food was above average and tasty. Downsides are the high prices and having to purchase a variety of sides with the individual fish dishes - hence it is like making up your own meal rather than the chef making the decisions for you ........ for example one side is chips and malt vinegar, another side is chips and aioli. Lol. The other downside is the very expensive entrees - nothing much below $25 which I thought was a bit steep.

A trendy place to eat and would eat there again.

“Great Seafood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2014

Excellent seafood restaurant on the Brisbane riverside with lots of choices, a nice view, and fine service too. The whole crispy fried barramundi was wonderful, and the soft shell crab was unusual for here but also very good.

“Magic Spot on the River”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2014

We recently went to Jellyfish twice in the same week and the choice of fish was different on each day. My favorite fish is John Dory, it was cooked to perfection beautifully moist and served with a wonderful roasted garlic aoli. We had a curried watermelon salad - sounds weird but was amazing. My partner had Sydney rock oysters, they were plump and creamy served natural with french cider vinegar, shallot and lemon and he was in heaven. On the second visit I had chili crusted wahoo with a roasted tomatillo salsa, a must try dish and my partner had kingfish with a smoked soy & spring onion dressing. Dessert well words can't describe the dulche chocolate panacotta with coffee roulade, pickled figs and cape gooseberries. The setting is relaxed with wonderful views of the Brisbane River. If you love seafood and want to eat in a restaurant that respects the produce and makes it shine you have to try Jellyfish.
