This is a must visit for any lover of beers - great list and knowledge of the team. There is a truly global approach to the options available but the food (focused on pizzas in my visit but there is plenty on offer) is also suited to the rustic and retro setting. Easy access to the city in a vibrant part of West End in Brisbane which is maturing into a good food zone.

Archives is just what it says it is a beer boutique. They have a good selection of craft beers. The food has been good the few times we ate there. It is loud and crowded, but not bad. Just order a beer or two and you will find an open place to sit. It is worth visiting just becasue the craft beer is always changing and you get to try something new and even take some home if you want. Parking is very limited on Boundary Street, we usually park very far from Archives and taxi it to Boundary Street and just walk from there. This will take a bit of research on your part, but it is worth it. Go, have fun and enjoy the beers they offer.

Archive has been a popular choice for a while now to try a few different craft beers but of late seems to be trading on its name a little and has been surpassed by a few of the newer venues in Brisbane for good craft beer, especially Scratch at Milton and Bitter Suite at New Farm. I'll still pop down for some very special beers (in fact will go there tonight) but will not expect the staff to be as passionate as the clientelle about the beers. This has been a really disappointing change and something that differentiates the good craft beer venues from the average.

Our "local" during a recent break in Brisbane it had been reccomended and we weren't dissapointed. Very happening when we had dinner on a long weekend Sunday night . Good food, excellent value. Tried a few of the many craft beers on tap over the time. Other visits were quieter.
