“Wonderful views, nice cream tea, good commentary...”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

You really cannot go wrong with this river trip as a great introduction to seeing what Brisbane is all about.

From the moment you board, the welcome is warm with pots of tea and coffee and a large plate of scones with jam and cream beckoning you at the back of the vessel. You can take a seat in the covered upstairs terrace or indoor downstairs.

The trip lasted 1.5 hours which was plenty and covered all the key sites along the river, through the skyscrapers of the downtown, the pretty marinas all along the river, the converted wool warehouses and power station, through to the residential areas where stunning new and tradional old cottages line the river banks.

The commentary along the way was interesting and informative, and half way through the trip a member of staff came round offering the last of the scones and more tea and coffee.

This is an excellent value trip that I would not hesitate to recommend! Enjoy!!

If it's a nice day and you want to sit out on the covered terrace upstairs, do get in the queue early to secure your place upstairs.

“Nice Relaxing way to see Brisbane from the water”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

Took this trip on a Sunday afternoon. The boat looks old but it floated fine.

The cruise down river was nice and narrated by a pre-recorded tape. This was fine but it was a bit behind so you were always looking back over your shoulder. Information provided was enough to give you some information but not over burdon you. Which meant you still had time to look around and enjoy the scenery.

The cruise back up river was a live braodcast by the captian. It was very informative giving an insite to the old river workings, some building history, flood damage etc. It was in my opinion much better and more informative.

Food and drink is available on board at a reasonable cost. I did neither but the meals I saw served looked fine.

If you take the eariler 10am cruise you can get off at Breakfast Creek and explore and pick up the boat when it returns for the second cruise. (Only 2 cruises per day 10am 12:30pm).

Overall a very good cruise, well priced ($25.00) and a different way to see brisbane.

I suggest you do it.

If you dont have sea legs, the boat is rocked from time to time by ferries passing but nothing that would knock a drink over.

“Fantastic service! A "must do"”
Reviewed November 29, 2012

This costs $25 per adult which includes scones/jam/cream tea with coffee or tea, lovely. We were on the boat during an awful thunderstorm. They lost electricity but the boat chugged on safely despite the river looking like a stormy ocean! The storm passed on the return trip and it is a great way to see the city. The staff are lovely and we felt well looked after, especially in the challanging weather. There is commentary to listen to which is good also. Highly recommend to everyone!
