I've now done two Urban Adventures - Brisbane Heritage and the Multicultural Food Experience. I had a great time on both and really learnt things about Brisbane - even after living here for 13 years. It's amazing how beautiful our city is - and these tours really highlight the diversity of Brisbane. Great for everyone - if you have some time and want to do tour of Brisbane in a smaller group.

Imagine pausing under a Bunya Pine tree in Brisbane’s Southbank Parklands…when without warning…crack! Would you know what to do? This tour impressed with facts: about Brisbane’s architectural history (the first bridge over the Brisbane River only stood for two years before it perished); old colonial days (Sydney’s very worst convicts were transferred to Brisbane); and indigenous knowledge (go straight to the trunk of a Bunya Pine tree if you hear something cracking. It’ll be a Bunya nut falling, and they, unlike other nuts, roll out along the branches to fall outward from the tree — but only every alternate year!) We sniffed for secrets at Old Government House; watched the blurring grey of sky, steel and river while strolling the Goodwill Bridge; startled a bearded dragon at Southbank Parklands. The included refreshing break filled tummies and formed friendships.
