The family went along to this establishment for a birthday party. Prior to actually going there, some of us looked on their web page at the type of food the restaurant served. At first we were thinking that some of the meals looked and sounded okay, if a little pricey. On the night in question it was decided to go to the 'teppan-yaki' half of the restaurant and to have the set menu number 2 as a form of banquet. At $70 per head, some of us were thinking, it better be really good and plentiful. Well, what we got were little portions of food cooked on a BBQ plate while twelve of us sat around this BBQ (which actually could not accommodate all of us).
We received a mixed entrée platter first, Tempura, yakitori, kushi katsu, Tokyo oysters. There was not that much of any of the items, and in fact some of use missed out getting a taste of everything. The mains consisted of eye filet, king prawns, chicken breast. I don’t eat chicken and the prawns were way under cooked. Next came, rice with vegetables followed by followed consume soup and deep fried ice cream. The rice and vegetables were cooked on the BBQ plate, spooned into a bowl and then tossed to you (if you missed, you got nothing). Due to this and other reasons, our eating area looked like a mine field. The delivery of food took too long (around 3 hrs) for the amount we got. There was only one cook doing any cooking, so he was back-upped with getting to each of the four BBQ plates. I feel that this set menu is way over priced and the quality is not great at all. Perhaps the other area would have been better. However, I will not be going back as it is way too expensive for basically “take away food”.
