I've stayed here 3 times. The rooms are well appointed and maintained with quality furnishings. The pool is excellent. The only downside is some of the noise from the Story Bridge however we kept the doors and windows on the river side open for flow through of air. Otherwise it's very quiet. There are some nice restaurants nearby and you can walk along the river. The city is 5 minutes by cab and there is a cab rank around the corner so no problems there.

The Docks is way above average apartment accomodation. We have family in Brisbane but wanted our own space and the two bed suited us perfectly. All very clean and in good condition with a management team who attended our every need and were particularly helpful in providing business services during the holiday period.
The location is great for the city by ferry and some walking distance to pub and eateries.

An unbelieveable few days. The Docks on Goodwin had it all. Location, Views, Service and superb amenities. Managers Roger & Cheryl were a delight and couldn't do enough for us. Will certainly be staying there again.

We have stayed in Kangaroo Point many times and this apartment was disappointing for the price - we have certainly found better value for money elsewhere. The room faced the road off the Storey Bridge so was quite noisy and you certainly coudn't have the window or door open at night. The bed was very low and quite soft. There was a vanity screen from the living area, which was a good idea but it did not sit in its tracks properly so it flapped every time I walked past. Kitchen and bathroom facilities were adequate. We had no contact with any staff - collected keys after hours from a box at Reception (difficult to find at night at the back of the building), had a bill pushed under the door before we left, and then deposited the keys in a mailbox on departure. There are limited places to get breakfast and dinner nearby - with so many apartments in the area you expect there to be better eateries available.

I booked these apartments from viewing the website and we were not disapointed. We arrived late from the airport after a flight delay and found the keys in the deposit box as informed by staff. The apartment was not huge but perfect for what we needed. Our room was on the 8th floor and had an excellent view of the Brisbane River from the balcony from where it was relaxing to sit and watch the boats sail past. The apartments are located in Kangaroo Point which is a gem of a spot which has a real village feel right in the city, near the famous Story Bridge Hotel but far enough away so not to be bothered by the noise.

The apartments pretty much had it all. Free internet, foxtel, 2 bathrooms, views, etc. The lounge and main bedroom are air conditioned and the second bedroom has ceiling fans. The full kitchen was great for preparing meals and the washer and dryer came in handy as well. We initially had a problem with the television not showing foxtel and when I mentioned it to the manager, Roger he came straight to the room and had it fixed within the hour. Tennis court, gym, sauna and spa were a great edition and they even have a BBQ and media room with a projector and 6 foot screen that is available for FREE hire! Will definitely stay here again.

My best friend and I decided to meet in Brisbane for Easter. Great - but there are just SO many accommodation options! After trawling various websites and checking reviews on tripadvisor we decided on The Docks. And boy - we were not disappointed in any way. Quite the contrary in fact - we just couldn't believe what a fantastic place it was. You expect to have a few problems or a few disappointments, but not at The Docks. The onsite managers - Roger and Cheryl - were the most accommodating, friendly and helpful team - right from our initial enquiry through to checkout.
We were fortunate enough to be placed in an apartment on the 9th floor with sweeping views of the Brisbane River. Not all apartments will have river views so be sure to check when booking if views are important for you. The complex has 2 towers (we were in Tower 2) which can only be accessed by swipe tags (the same as the pool/gym/sauna area). There is secure basement parking too. The grounds and buildings are very well kept and the pool and bbq facilities are great.
We stayed in a 1 bed apartment which had a sleeper couch in an alcove off the lounge so it didn't need to be constantly made up/stripped down and folded away as it didn't get in the way and the lounge had more than enough seating. The kitchen has everything you could imagine you'd need right down to dishwasher with 2 sachets of dishwashing powder. There is a 'laundry cupboard' in the bathroom with washing machine and tumble drier, clothes horse, iron, ironing board, pegs etc.
If you do run out of the little necessities, you can pop to reception and re-stock for a small fee.
The beds were comfortable and the curtains very thick which effectively blocked out the heat of the sun and kept the rooms dark in the morning after sunrise. I suspect they also act as effective noise blockers as I was never woken by any noise during the night.
The apartment has an air-conditioner if it does get a bit hot. The balcony off our apartment was very spacious. Again - different apartments have different size balconies, so if you want a bigger balcony, be sure to enquire on the size when booking as some are smaller than what we had.
There are 2 convenience stores and a liquor store within a few minutes stroll as well as a selection of eating places for any budget.
There are day spas/beauty salons very close by as well. I suggest that if you want to enjoy a massage, facial or beauty treatment, you book ahead of time. The likelihood of just being able to walk in off the street and get an appointment is unlikely.
There are 2 ferry terminals within 5 minutes walk - the one at Dockside takes longer to get to the city as it needs to round the Kangaroo Point peninsula so you may prefer to use the Thornton St one which also has more frequent trips (every 10 minutes I think).
It is worth purchasing a Zone 1 or Zone 2 concession ticket if you intend to stay for say 4 days or more. Use the ticket for all Brisbane ferries, buses and trains within the zone.
South Bank (just a couple of ferry stops away) is a water wonderland for children complete with man made beach and a huge swimming pool and water fountains. Queen St Mall is great with loads of shops or try the South Bank markets or Eagle St markets for a more relaxed shopping experience. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary makes a great day trip - collect the Mirimar ferry from South Bank and enjoy interesting commentary on the 1 hr 15 min trip to the sanctuary.
There are plenty of other places to visit in close proximity to the apartments - the only problem is that we ran out of time!
One thing is for sure - when we go back to Brisbane, we know where we are staying! Thank you Roger and Cheryl for an unforgettable stay.

What a wonderful find! The website pictures do not lie - it is a great place in a great location. From making the booking to our check-out everything was handled with ease, a smile and professionally. The on-site managers, Roger and Cheryl are to be commended for their service and friendliness. We had arranged to drop our luggage for storage at the apartments (we arrived around 9am) and they were to call us when the room was ready but to our amazement we could check in early! We were given all the necessary information from ferry timetables to convenience stores. The apartment was spacious, spotless, very well equipped with a lovely size balcony and great views (we were on the 9th floor). It had everything we needed and more than we expected, right down to being able to hire pool towels. An easy walk to restaurants, pub/hotels, mini-marts, 2 ferry terminals, with views of Storey Bridge - great location. Lovely swimming pool with spa pool & sauna & gym & kids tv (movie) room, pool bbq area as well as a grassed bbq area near the tennis courts. Great for anybody - families with young kids, teens, parents - very secure and so convenient to the city yet far enough away to enjoy walks and views. Our request for a late check-out was happily accommodated and nothing was too much trouble. We would certainly recommend The Docks to anybody as a great place to stay in Brisbane. Wonderful people and place!
