“Feels & tastes like being in France, great value and service”
Reviewed January 24, 2011

We love to take friends and visitors to Brisbane here and many become regulars. The food is classic French, Cassoulet, Duck in orange sauce, snails, lambs brains, creme caramel. Our favourites are duck salad, Cote de Boef with Roquforte butter and rabbit with fig sauce. Wine list also good value. Two & three course lunches are exceptional value, I don't see how they can make money.

“Classic, Elegant, True French and very hard to get a booking sometimes!”
Reviewed November 13, 2009

This is where the true connoisseurs of fine dining come when they want actual French food. The food tastes like you could have one of each from the menu (it's online too!) and still come back for more. As is expected, correctly prepared French cuisine brings many expats in the door, which can make it hard to get a table sometimes. The Chef seems lovely and he made an appearance when we went, greeting regulars. Service was good and a little relaxed, recommend waving someone down when they get a bit busy- apparently they prefer to leave you alone to enjoy your own company rather than checking up every 5 mins. We left thinking... "Ooohh I could do that (cooking)"....yet sadly... not even close in our own kitchen! Delicious, fresh and a perfect place for dinner for two or party of 12. Creme Brulee is c'est magnifique! Oh... we were talking to one of the staff (I think it was the manager?!?) and she gave us tips about travelling in France as she is from Dijon... my husband and I thought that was great as we hadn't been to that region.

The lacked flavour and the Duck was dry. The service was good up until it came time to pay the bill. It took a long time for the staff to take our payment. While waiting we watched the owner and staff farewell guests. When finally it came time for us to leave not even a thank you or a goodbye.
We had heard a number of good reports, but I would have to say our experience was below average.
