“Authentic and delicious!”
Reviewed January 31, 2014 via mobile

I went here on the recommendation from a work colleague and I certainly was not let down. The restaurant itself was quite nice, cosy yet private with a really nice ambience.
Our waiter and waitress were both French and very accommodating to our needs, especially since I can't eat gluten. It was very refreshing to be able to get great food completely gluten free and have our needs remembered. The waiters were really great as to not being over eager and just seeing our needs are met in a timely manner.
I ordered the canard a la orange (the duck) which was fantastic! The skin was perfectly crispy and the meat tender and delicious. The red cabbage and sweet potato mash complemented it so well. My boyfriend had the steak and ordered it rare - and having been to many restaurants it is apparently very hard to get a rare steak that isn't over cooked. This steak was perfectly done and really tasty.
Dessert was nice but so hard to finish after a huge meal.
The $75 three course deal was definitely a great way to go, and we will certainly go back.
Great place if you want real French food in Australia.

Cute little place with lovely hostess serves beautiful French food and desert to die for. The presentation of the desert is truly a piece of art. A must try place.

“Good food, but portions are small”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

We went there for a family celebration and enjoyed ourselves. They do not have highchairs but they did allow us to have a child with our own booster seat. They made our grand-daughter most welcome. We elected for the set menu and there were two choices for every course. I had a quiche lorraine for entree and it was beautiful - made with flaky pastry. I had steak for mains and it was perfectly cooked and very tender. Unfortunately it was too small and I was still hungry. Sweets were some sort of Christmas log. Not sure what it was, it was non-descript. It was sweet, but without a lot of taste.
Staff were pleasant and most welcoming.

“Feels like Paris”
Reviewed December 12, 2013

Visit C'est Bon and you feel as if you are in Paris, the decor, the staff and of course the food. Traditional French dishes nicely prepared with fresh ingredients. French onion soup, snails, souffle, duck in orange sauce, coq au vin, rabbit casserole, creme caramel, tarte tatin, crepe suzette are just a selection. Have not yet tried the new $55, 3 course menu but the menu looks good and I hear it is popular.
