Our favourite restaurant - an authentic French dining experience where the owner (who is always there to greet you!) is French, as are the wait staff and chefs. Bistro meets country fare with a little inner city chic too - delightful!

I ate here with my Grandparents last Tuesday for the first time and I must say that it was just wonderful.
The staff were more than amazing and the food was perfect.
Merci beaucoup.

I went to C'est bon last night with a co worker and we had a lovely dinner and beautiful french food. The meals were generous and well cooked. The wait staff were delightful with most coming from France. The wine list had a interesting mix of french australian and even QLD wine.
They have a special menu of three courses for $55 and that is great value. I had the Parfait De Canard and Boeuf Bourguignon. My colleague had Gnocchi A La Parisiene. He also had a Crepe Suzette. The Boeuf was fantastic and the meat fell apart it was so tender.
Excellent food great value and lovely staff- well done!

On my search for good restaurants I came across this little gem in the most unlikely position in a suburb called Woolloongabba, mostly known by it's Gabba Stadium.
It is hidden between other shops in an old heritage building.
When you see it from the street, you are not sure what to think, but our driver told us that a lot of people love this place.
And our driver was right and so were these 'lot of people'.
A smile and a bonjour go a long way. We were seated on a table upstairs, away from the main restaurant. This place is bigger than it looks from the outside. The french lady called it the separe. Red colours, beautiful mirrors and a paining of this so famous tower in Paris.
Our other guests arrived soon after us (we were eight) and we had the room for ourselves.
We started of with some french champagne, bread was served (free) and a small amuse bouche (apologies if it is not spelled right). After choosing our meals (entree and mains of course) the lady, which turned out to be the host too, helped us to choose some nice wines from the list, matching our dinners.
The food was beautiful and wholesome. Just like I always liked it in France and the wines were divine.
After the mains, and we all were pretty full, we couldn't resist to order some desserts and so you should. The dessert menu is quiet extensive and each has got it's naughtiness. Tarte Tatin, Creme Brûlée, Chocolate Fondant, Creme Caramel and a Dessert Degustation with spun sugar (were there is something you don't see every day).
It was a fantastic experience and we will return to this restaurant next time we make it back to Brisbane.

We have been to C'est Bon many times which were great, but tonight it was a disaster. The food was very overcooked and dry (every course) and then ... as dessert arrived, so did the cockroaches. It was revolting! We were then positioned to another table, but no one could finish their dessert. The waiter laughed off our squeamishness with the cockroaches but happily took our money. Disgusting, do not go.
