Located next to the Kurilpa Bridge and the river with the most fabulous views and close to Roma Street, it's easy to get around Brisbane. We walked to the West End to enjoy the restaurants and bars there. We also walked to North Quay then used the free City Hopper ferry to explore Brisbane by river. It was even an easy walk to the Eagle Street pier and waterside restaurant area.
The apartment is well equipped with everything needed for a short stay. One bedroom enjoys the full views from the whole room, and the other bedroom is quite spacious. The lounge and dining area is comfortable and there is a great balcony with table & chairs for enjoying the views. The kitchen is a reasonable size with all that you need. The bathroom is a bit on the small side, some extra shelving in there would be good, but having the washing machine and dryer available was fantastic. We packed light for our trip but because it was easy to wash & dry a few clothes, we still didn't use all that we packed! The apartment isn't brand new, but it's still in good condition and great for a couple, small family, or even two couples wanting an inner city stay.
The owner is very helpful and flexible in our arrival and departure times, which made our trip that much more comfortable.
Conveniently located and beautifully decorated. Phillip was so hospitable and would answer any questions promptly. We were especially impressed by the kitchenette, it was quite well-equipped.
Strongly recommend this b&b to those who wish to travel to Brisbane. Definitely worthy of the money!
We stayed 17th Floor over the Easter Weekend (6 nights) with stunning views overlooking the River. Was able to relax on the balcony and enjoy this between busy travels. There were 3 of us (2 adult + 1 older child, so 2 bedroom was excellent. Location was our priority - close to Brisbane City Hall and the CBD, able to access Arts/Uni on Southbank, so this was well suited. Close to train (near Roma Station). Option of several CityCycle Bike stations, and great walkways. Walking/out at night was well lit for night travel options also. Apartment had Kitchen and Laundry facilities which we utilised. Building Skydeck (same view but higher) and pool area access, but didnt use pool (although it was clean and looked inviting). Small gym equipment area. The manager/owner Philip was very considerate and flexible around arrival/departure and communicated well around arrangements.
From reading previous feedback - there was some traffic noise on balcony (expected when you are above a major freeway!) but shutting the door muffled most of this - it personally didnt bother me on 17th floor, I loved the view and being able to sit outside. Building itself - carpet and common areas were looking bit dated, but not a deal breaker - the privacy of an apartment with 2 bedrooms and other features for me out weighed this, and represented good value for $$. Corridor was a bit musky from elevator (x2 elevators for whole building, so allow for this timewise - we waited no longer than a couple of minutes at any time so again not an issue) and light came on as you step out of lift to floor (energy saver), stepping out to dark area (was fine, but just not used to this). Would I book here again....Yes!
