Fresh, tasty Greek food at reasonable prices, with fair service. Can be noisy if you're inside. Ask for an al fresco table facing the river.

We never actually got to eat at Kapsali. This is one of our favourite Brisbane restaurants so rang to make a reservation. The gentleman we spoke to said it was a busy night but there wouldn't be a problem getting a table. When we arrived we were shown to a table on the side of a dance floor - next to a wedding reception!!! The happy couple were cutting the cake and the live band/DJ was about to start. The noise was deafening and kids were dancing around right next to our table. We could have easily blended in to be part of the wedding party!

It would have been appreciated if the guy who took our reservation advised us that there was a wedding reception being held in the restaurant.

There are lots of restaurants in this area but Kapsali is one we've been back to on a number of occassions. The food is good, and portions are generous. They have a gluten free menu and are prepared to discuss other GF options by slightly adapting some main menu items. That's really helpful. The location is very handy if you are going to a show at QPAC (it's a good pre- or post performance option) and the Conservatorium is nearby too.
On our latest visit we arrived at 5 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon - just as they were opening. The restaurant started to fill up pretty quickly though - which is a good sign. The service is efficient and the wait staff attentive. We'll definitely go there again.

Please feel free to let your friends know to never eat at Kapsali restaurant Southbank. Apart from the fact that their oysters were off, the service we encountered was the worst I have ever experienced.

Now I'm not one to whinge, but they were supremely rude. Ruined a glorious day and I'm still seething.
