Description: 1889 Enoteca is part of the heritage listed Moreton Rubber Works building (circa 1889) located in the antique quarter of Woolloongabba. We have incorporated a restaurant & wine bar along with a basement level cellar for private dining & functions for up to 42 people. We offer traditional Roman fare which is made to be enjoyed in our relaxed but sophisticated setting. Our menu showcases the freshest produce available & the pasta & bread that we offer is and made by our chefs on a daily basis which is testament to our commitment to quality. Our wine list is an encyclopedia of artisan producers with a particular focus on natural winemakers. Natural winemaking involves using indigenous yeasts, minimal (if any) chemicals & little technological intervention. Many of these wines are organic, biodynamic & have been picked personally by the owners who have visited the vineyards. Our wines have a story!

Enjoyed a thoroughly Italian evening with friends. The fact that the restaurant was filled with Italian patrons is a testament to the quality and authenticity of the Roman fare. We could not fault the meals we enjoyed or the service from the lovely Emmanuella. The antipasto platters were a wonderful way to start the meal. The wine list is exhaustive and we enjoyed a fragrant Montepulciano red on Cam's recommendation. One thing to be aware of if you are planning a visit is that there is not a separate children's menu & you will not find child friendly options like pizza or spaghetti bolognaise at this upmarket establishment. The prices are high but the ambience, service and beautiful food definitely make a visit worthwhile.

A wonderful evening. The building is a restored rubber works and is located in a lovely street lined by other older buildings. The service is fantastic. The waiter had a great knowledge of the menu. If it is not offered, make sure you ask to be taken through the menu. It really comes to life and takes on another element when everything is explained. The gnocchi is simply suburb.

I was looking for a place to eat by myself on a business trip and was recommended this place. I sat up at the bar which was perfect for someone flying solo. The guys behind the bar were excellent at looking after me and more importantly guiding me through the menu and wine list.

A very enjoyable experience and well worth going out of your way.

Whilst on the pricey side, this restaurant consistently produces top quality Italian food and exceptional service. The wine selection is terrific (though not for the budget diner) and the food menu concise but diverse enough to suit most tastes.

Iv been to Enoteca twice now, once was just a light lunch (which is a good option for those who cant justify the $$$ but want to experience the food - you can just order an entree size), and also for an all out dinner. Both times the food was excellent and the service spot on.

A lovely restaurant, and Id recommend it to those who are not concerned over budget, or for those who want to splash out and treat themselves for a special occasion
