“Good apartment hotel”
Reviewed March 14, 2012

I stayed 5 nights in this apartment hotel in February 2012. The unit was well equiped and modern with everything I needed. The location is convenient to the Fortitude Valley entertainment area. If I have to find any faults, it is the tiled floor in the whole apartment unit - except the bedroom. You can hear the screeching noise in the unit above when someone there move chairs or other furniture over the floor. The apartment units are accessed via a framework of steel staircases that occupy the whole internal courtyard, giving the place a jail house impression, athough the planting of palm trees have managed to soften the ambiance somewhat. However these are minor issues and I would go back again.

Stayed in their serviced apartment which can fits 5 adults! WOw...that's amazing! It has everything you need in a normal house. Downside is, they charged for the WiFi services. It is very modern & good ambiance.

I stayed here in July 2011 for one night for a business trip as it is within 5mins walking distance of our office. I have also stayed here with my wife and young boy about 18months earlier and would recommend this place for both types of stays. The apartments are modern and have a funcky colour scheme to them (e.g. aqua coloured plastic benchtops in the kitchen!). The hotel staff are friendly but i never needed to bother them with anything as i had no issues. The kitchens are fully equiped with everything you need to cook. It has a large screen tv and the bathrooms are a good size (e.g. large showers). I will stay here again next time i visit our office.

I was recently stranded in Brisbane after booking with Qantas during their recent strike action and was forced to ring around for emergency accommodation. After many nock-backs, I called The Miro. Arriving outside reception hours and having difficulty with checking-in, I called Astra, the Night Manager of The Miro and was astounded at the friendly service she provided.

I was met at reception - with a smile and reassuring word. The professional approach and caring manner were a 'god send', especially at that hour of the night! You can always tell when a person enjoys their profession and are a natural. She is a credit to The Miro - thankyou.

Although only staying the one night, I would highly recommend The Miro to anyone wanting a high standard of servie and accommodation. I will definately be back!

My girlfriends and I stayed at The Miro last weekend in one of their two bedroom apartments and we had a fantastic time! The apartment was spacious (two levels!) and modern and fitted out with all of the bits and bobs that we needed while on holiday. The location of the hotel was awesome, it was close to many restaurants - which was great when we were feeling lazy, even though the kitchen was decked out with absolutely everything we needed. My girlfriends and I have decided that we will most definitely be returning to The Miro next year for our weekend away.

When visiting Brisbane we usually stay at Miro. A month ago we booked in for 3 nights, the first night the manager didn't text through the after hours access code, after phoning and sending her 3 texts with no reply we had to stay elsewhere, when we asked to be compensated she suggested we were at fault for not being there during weekend reception hours. We met the Managing Director in the carpark & discussed this with him,he apologised & offered a reimbursed night, we took this offer up last week and stayed for 4 nights. On our 3rd day we arrived home from a busy day and were close to running out of toilet paper, I sent our daughter to reception for more & she came back empty hand and was told to find a supermarket and buy our own, my husband then went to reception to clarify the matter, and we was told the same. The only positive out of this experience is that we hadn't quite run out, imagine your return customer not being worth an 80cent roll of toilet paper.Extremely disappointing and we won't be back.

Room Tip: BYO Toilet paper

Have stayed several times on business trips and have found the location very convenient to get to the City centre and the Southbank precinct. I certainly find the courteous staff refreshing as travelling constantly can be a little stressful. I am always greeted in a warm but professional manner. The apartments are lovely and modern and I have certainly recommended The Miro to colleagues (who now also book The Miro!!).

Room Tip: When booking, let the staff know any particular requirements you may have.
