Title confusing? Well so is this little find in the heart of the Dragon,Market Square, Sunnybank, surrounded by various cuisines from China, Taiwan, Japan & Vietnam we find this little gem, steak focused, French inspired.
Licensed and for a nominal $2.50pp BYO charge this cafe puts some of the big boys to shame.
1 kilo Wagyu rumps nominally abt $80 would easily serve 3 with additional sides, 200g and 300g offerings available plus lamb, duck, chicken etc all priced well.
The bride and I, opted for the 1kg Darling Downs grain feed med/rare with 3 small sides and an accompanying sauce. Although the meat was a little unevenly cooked from very rare to med rare the flavour was excellent the sides although (small) were more than enough for two.
We started by sharing a duck and pork rillett and finished sharing a chocolate fondant a coffee and liquer and this including our 2 BYOs at $12 each that the entire meal came in just under $160.00. We will definitely be back.

Based on the Trip Advisor reviews, we booked a group dinner at Cafe Les Amoureux. We feasted like French nobles & then paid peasant prices. #Winning

ENTRE
The home-made garlic bread was amazing. Fresh baguette with generous lashings of garlic & premium butter....yum!

MAIN
The steaks were top quality, perfectly cooked melt-in-your-mouth quality. Definitely the best I've eaten in Brisbane in the past 20 years. The sides of sautated mushrooms & steamed fresh spinach were solid.

DESSERT
The creme brulee tasted like the custard was made from condensed milk, very decadent! The citrus tart also looked amazing. Alas, I'll have to return to try it.

EXTRAS
The decore is very budget. But the BYO wine was brilliant. The service was prompt & friendly (very un-like the French)

Amazing! I can't believe that for someone who is a regular visitor to market square, that I missed this. I have tried some of Brisbane's top steak restaurants and this would hands down beat them all. The food is very flavoursome with a wide menu selection. The service is good, not the top end, but it's your typical Asian service just at a French restaurant. Will definitely keep coming back and would recommend to others!

This is a family business with that warm family feel. The quaint decor make you forget you are inthe middle of Sunnybank. The food is to die for. If you're lucky there may be a cupcake or macaroon which is also a family secret, but well worth the trip. Lovely people, great good, what more could you wnt

The food is nice however the waiting is too long, we four people ordered two steak, one salmon and one salad, waited around 45 minutes to get the first steak. We were so hungry but lucky the food was nice.
